I really enjoyed the tour. We were in 507001. As has been already mentioned, it was good passing through stations that normally just have stopping services. When we did stop, a few passengers tried to get on.

I did find it it rather comical, especially when we turned around at Liverpool Central, several people tried to board and were told it was a private charter train. They weren’t too pleased

Liverpool Central was very funny, especially because we were early and delayed a passenger train.

I was in 507001 in Coach E. Very good day.

If it was the 1540-ish arrival at Central, that was because the member of staff on the platform announced it as the Hunts Cross train. Mind you, he also announced the previous Ormskirk train as the Hunts Cross train, so he was having an off day generally I think.

I believe the charter was meant to be behind the Hunts Cross train at Sandhills, but for whatever reason it got put out first at the junction.

Birkdale was the same heading south, when the train stopped due to the level crossing

A lot of staff weren't even aware the train was running including the person manning the ticket office at Birkenhead North. They were very confused why lots of people are waiting for a train at platform 1.
