Hello and sorry if this is in the wrong place. I'm looking for as much old workings with the national power class 59 Like where did they go and what routes did they cover what sort of jobs they did and any old timings Please like i say sorry if this in the wrong place. Many thanks for now.

Coal trains through Knottingley to the Aire Valley power stations. I'm sure that others will have more specific details.

Worked from a depot at ferrybridge cant really remember much else.

Primarily coal from Gascoigne Wood to Drax and Eggborough. There was the odd working from further afield, if I remember rightly from the Ayrshire coalfield via the S&C.

There was also a daily gypsum train from Peak Forest t

The ayrshire run was a one off trial to killoch coilery also done trials to mossend and millerhill.

Ok guys many thanks for all the replys and i have look at flickr i try and do as much as i can before asking. The one over the s&c could be what im looking for so will do a bit more on that once angin many thanks

They also ran up the ecml through Durham going to the Wardley opencast site on the old leamside line.

That was limestone - I'm fairly sure the 59/2s never worked gyspum trains from Drax,
but I may be wrong!

Thanks for the correction. I remember regularly seeing them with the hoppers at Doncaster and Sheffield on said working as a kid. Limestone makes far more sense when I engage my brain.
