The 70s are scheduled to be used on the Greater Manchester waste trains to Runcorn from next week. Whether they will or not is another matter.

It was mentioned in another thread that the 70s have started on many other routes. Anybody know what (non intermodal) routes they do

Has any one given any thought has to the age of some of these locos , built 2009/11
Some of these locos need a heavy overhaul depending on mileage or engine hours , who's going pay for this and were will be done ?
Has mentioned TOPs have the answer

One of them has been appearing on the Grain/Colnbrook fuel trains for the past week or so. Previously all in the hands of 66/6s.

70008 was on the colnbrooks last week 70007 on it this week they started on the binliners from runcorn folly lane this week, they also started working trains out of tunstead last week.
