What is the current diagram for the 745s that are in service? Is it reliable enough to be added to the useful diagram sticky thread in the other sub-forum?

Seems so. One starts with the 06:48 ex-Nrw & the other the 07:40. Both are SX.

Of course. Lots more of that throughout 2020.

Cheers for that! I note that when the main line reopens in April there’s at least 8 weekends of no trains on the Clacton/Walton branches (except amazingly on Good Friday and Easter Sat, so that’s my one weekend trip out avoiding RRBs). So that’s no through Clacton London services until at least early June, hardly a way to encourage travel to a deprived coastal area that desperately needs all the holiday traffic it can get. What happened to keeping the summer clear of works?

010 failed on me the other night at Bethnal Green but fortunately got going again after 5 minutes or so.

Ideally you need diagrams that balance, the two so far start and finish at Crown Point. With another pair available you could have a Crown Point to Orient Way diagram and v.v. if sufficient Liverpool St crews are now trained. And if only 3 out of 4 units available one of the first diagrams could go back to a Mk3 temporarily. All very fluid.

Agree that it seems more logical to return one of the NC to NC diagrams back to Mark III if only 3 Class 745s come out to play, punters might be upset though. I would say Ipswich diagrams should be first as opposed to those that go to Orient Way as those drivers sign Class 755s. Do any London crews actually sign Class 745s / 755s yet?

I assume they automatically sign both because the cabs are the same. That’s certainly the case at Colchester where we only drive 755 but officially sign both.

No they have special dispensation as have no diagrammed work with 755s so may go years without doing power changeovers or operating in diesel mode.

Makes sense. I doubt I’ll ever drive a 745 despite signing them. Wouldn’t mind having a go though.

To be honest they are much easier to drive & operate than bimodes. They have an extra 8-9 vehicles but that doesn't really mean anything & there are no cameras or responsibility for closing doors ufn.

I know some people are a bit uncomfortable about signing them without driving them but as you say it’s just a longer train and you stop at the end of the platform as we currently do with 12 cars.

Does that mean that guards will be introduced on the West Anglia line when 745s start doing airport services? Or do Liverpool Street drivers only work the mainline?

No. Liverpool Street WA (Liverpool Street has ex Anglia and West Anglia depots) Cambridge and Bishop Stortford Will do them. And they do have cameras. However as with any stock running in guard configuration the doors are not controlled by the driver. The screen furthest to the right in the cab has the DOO images but I assume in Gaurd configuration these are not visible. Most likely the same as most rolling stock depending on if you put a set of door keys in an active cab or use them to toggle modes (which can be seen on the right hand side of the desk) My stock has a set of these permanently in. All of West Anglia is DOO only. 379s used prompt you which mode you would like to run in when you key on on the TCMS

From what I understand Liverpool St Senior Conductors will route learn to Stansted so the 745s can be introduced on this route. How long degraded working will continue with this fleet is anybody's guess.
