Apologies if this is a bit of a dumb query.
I commute to London on the East Grinstead line. As you will know, the line is closed south of Lingfield because of a landslip. Today the situation was compounded by a points failure at Lingfield which meant trains were not running south of Oxted/Hurst Green.
Usually on a Friday I take the 1641 Thameslink service from London Bridge to Dormans, arriving at approximately 1731.
Today, following customer service advice, I took the 1630 from London Bridge to Three Bridges. This train arrived 9 minutes late at 1732.
There were no rail replacement buses evident at Three Bridges until one arrived at approximately 1800. I took this to East Grinstead, arriving at about 1835 and then almost immediately transferred to a second bus which took me to Dormans, arriving at approximately 1845.
Thus, my notional delay was 1h13min. Is this what I would claim for on a delay repay?
Thank you for your advice.
