142036 has joined 142043 in the same siding on Newton Heath.
At the expense off a another short form service tonight 1642 rochdale to clitheroe leaving a lot off people behind at Salford Crescent station. Not looking forward to next week and plenty off cancellations again. Due to more trains than usual requiring repair. Or replaced with a slower train. Or rammed trains

I'm not too sure, I've no idea where it was before it arrived at its current location on NH some time on Thursday.

The one that got away! My last two attempts to ride on it have failed. Last year it ran fast from Wigan to Salford Crescent, straight through the station I was waiting at. Then last week it was out in the morning peak (too early for me to get to) but didn't come out for the PM peak. Needless to say it was back out the following morning.

At least you will get another chance when it moves to the east Kent railway!

There's been some internal info re Pacer use. There will be a few diagrams until May, with 142s used to strengthen these peak trains next week:
0636 Kirkby to Manchester Victoria
0643 Wigan to Victoria
1713 Victoria to Kirkby
1736 Victoria to Southport

...then from week after next until May (presumably the May timetable change):
0636 Kirkby to Victoria
0648 Southport to Blackburn
1617 Blackburn to Wigan
1736 Victoria to Southport.

Thanks for this information Llama. Just a couple of questions:- are these Mon to Friday workings only? Will the 0636 Kirkby to Manchester Vic diagram (with the 142 on it) come back round three hours later and do the 0936 Kirkby to Manchester Vic as it does now?

I'm not sure, I would imagine SX only. There's obviously a chance that next week's could lay over at Wigan overnight and Newton Heath between the peaks; the diagram til May could see the units split and the 142 stable at Blackburn during the day.

There were two 142s and a 3-car 144, with Sheffield on the destination blind, in York at the same time on Wednesday afternoon this week. One 142, I think it could have been 071 but too far away to be sure, left from platform 1 and tootled off in the Scarboro' direction.

they might send another 4, just leave the 4 they need and if one breaks down just substitute for a sprinter.
Pls can someone assist me and post something off realtime trains don't know how to do it but see Monday the 17th February.
There is another move booked in for newton Heath T.M.D to worksop. And shown as 142

As soon as this mornings 4 units for Heaton had drawn up to the exit signal at Newton Heath, 4 more ran into the siding by the Rochdale line, presumably these are the 4 for tomorrow.
