That has been pretty much my experience when I have applied. Its quite strange when you consider the hoops you have to go through to apply for the same role with a TOC!

Yeah that’s right .. that’s all there is to it .. got email within about 5 weeks for test date, month after interview, phone call for verbal offer week after then . Another month till medical , it’s long slog .. I was quick tbh 6 months from applying to starting .
Has anyone else had an email regarding assessments in Doncaster on the 10th / 11th Dec? I just applied last week so was quite surprised to get a response so soon...
Does anyone also know whether the assessments in Doncaster are the same for a driver role as what you would do for a shunter / operative position? I passed some a few months ago...wasn't sure if they differ?

If I haven’t heard back on an application since September is it safe to say that I haven’t got past initial sift?
When I check on dB website it just states the application is “in process”.

Looks promising, there were only 2 of us there for Peterlee a couple of weeks ago. The assessment rooms only had space for about 5 people so maybes doing them in batches...unfortunately I failed, but not sure how the other person got on...they got further than me tho...good luck
I got that every week when I applied for dB .. then suddenly a email invite to test ... 6 months later I’m Just coming to end of week 2 of driver training !
Well maybe there is still hope but if there is it means they are doing assessments in multiple stages because others on here are already invited. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for good news I guess!

I've been sat in a pool for Doncaster and South Yorkshire since October as well. Not heard anything except the Christmas email they sent out to the pool.

I applied in Nov also for the tees/Tyne position. Emailed the recruitment team yesterday and was told to be patient, only to receive a further email today saying that they won't be moving forward with my application. Frustrating...

I applied for a position in Dartford back in September 2019...still waiting for a reply and it’s apparently still “in process” when I check online. Not really holding out much hope for this tbh.
I have got further with another TOC, completing all tests except MMI, have DMI in two weeks then MMI.
