I'd use a Thames Branches Day Ranger £14.50 with a railcard. Valid between Paddington and Reading as well as the branches.
There are some evening restrictions out of Paddington.

I did consider that , though wasn't using line east of Maidenhead and already done the Greenford branch.
I took bus from High Wycombe to Marlow . Then bought single to Maidenhead ,then single to reading , return from Twyford to Henley .
Just looked at my ticket, i did buy a Marlow to Reading. Not sure if you could buy a Marlow to Henley single. Why split at Maidenhead? I haven't added your railcard discount, but surely it would have been cheaper to buy a through Cheap Day Single from Marlow to Reading (£9.70), rather than Marlow to Maidenhead (£4.70) + Maidenhead to Reading (£6.90), total £11.60?
That aside, I hope you enjoyed your journey on the two single track branches, both of which cross the Thames, with views of the river.
