I got caught out on Vigilance test when the square turned darker but not black, I hit the green about few times when it wasn’t black and also missed the black few times :/ does anyone know if I’ll have to sit all computer based tests again or just the Vigilance as I passed perception and 2 hand coordination

I have just downloaded the online tool, but I'm struggling to work the controls. Can someone enlighten me as to what to do, please?

TIA

You’re better off printing the dot sheets and do them on paper because actual test is on paper

The square does not get darker, I did think that at first. Its an illusion. It is definitely a positive change to black. Sorry I dont know if you'll be able to just sit that part.

Yeah I was aware that it’s an illusion but nerves got the best of me I guess, the assessor said I will have to sit all 3 computer tests again

I have a little tip for anyone sitting assessments especially computer test for Vigilance.

Make sure you sit level with the screen, I was sitting too low and that’s what made the square appear darker, I would suggest sitting higher and tilt the screen lower if needed.

??????? Any help guys

No material recommendations I am afraid but TRP1 is to test memory. They will play a recording and you will read the same words from a handout at the same time. Choose which way you think you will remember the best. You will then be asked a number of questions about what you have heard/read. It will be a railway scenario. I hope this helps.

What stage is everyone at currently following on from Feb 8th. Interested to know if anyone has made it all the way through and maybe had an offer?

Slightly different but I applied for SWR on 13th Feb and I’m awaiting a start date. Wondering whether they are awaiting to see who else passes all stages to fill a class.

Edit: Should say I already had assessment passes.

I applied in January, currently waiting for an MMI date, having passed all written and computer assessments, along with DMI. However, I see things being postponed for a while due to COVID-19.

Waiting to hear on outcome of DMI from Monday in anticipation of MMI, fingers crossed!
