Fair enough. I tend to assume that short turnaround times at rural termini will just be the same bus going back to the town/depot.
Quite understandable! I just thought as a (former) bus scheduler myself I'd give the health warning. Of course it's not real life so it doesn't really matter, although I tend to use the 5 min (or whatever is appropriate) connection time regardless.

No, absolutely. Especially given it was your job, it would be incredibly arrogant of me to sit here and tell you otherwise!

Since it's a bit far to walk (9 km and about 700m ascent) over Sticks Pass to Patterdale we admire the scenery and get a quick pie and a pint whilst waiting for the 12:59 Stagecoach Cumbria service 555 to Keswick (Bus Station) where we arrive at 13:14 on Friday afternoon.

We are just in time for the 14:15 Stagecoach Cumbria service to Cockermouth (Main Street) where we arrive at 15:43 on Friday afternoon.

(Penrith has an amazing variety of rural services which run on just one day per week. Very tempting for us to spend a whole week at a village in the wilds of Cumbria! But sadly none of the timings fitted :frown:)

Well rested from our weekend in Cumbria, we walk the 0.5 miles (12 mins) to Aspatria station to board the 08:00 Northern service to Carlisle, arriving there at 08:32 on a Monday.

I like rural places, but I understand being stuck in one place for the weekend is disliked by some. The only time I've been actually pleased to get the game stuck was when it happened for 6 days in Buckenham, which I think is a record.

I think it's quite funny actually, maybe just because it happens so rarely!

It's only fictional, but even so. I feel it takes me a while to plan the next move when we're stuck in the darkest ruralness of certain places!
We then take the 1944 Transpennine Express service to Meadowhall arriving at 2103 on Monday.

We next board the 2125 Supertram Yellow Line service to University of Sheffield, arriving there at 2147 on Monday evening.
