About 15.30 today while I was passing Stockport viaduct on the motorway I saw at least 6 class 66s crossing together. It may have been more but I’d passed before I could count them all. I’ve never seen this before is it normal practice? Thanks.

This is a regular occurrence across the country at weekends where a convoy of several 66s run to work at an Engineering Occupation site

4x66s 2x70s 66602 604 607 619 70011 016 working 0K98 earles sidings to crewe basford hall most likely to work weekend engineering trains, quite common at weekends to see these locomotive convoys making there way to and from yards to work engineering trains.
