Why exactly is this company getting the RailUK forensic examination? Have they done something wrong?
No one was suggesting that they had done anything wrong but when a company suddenly pops up offering exactly what a large number of people want (myself included) for a not insignificant amount of money then I'm certainly checking them out before parting with my hard earned money, hence why I started this threadWhy exactly is this company getting the RailUK forensic examination? Have they done something wrong?
-We are a new company and as such there is limited information regarding our services. Last month of four candidates we sent for testing 3 have been offered roles, with the fourth due to be interviewed tomorrow.
-We are registered with the Office of Rail and Road.
-We are listed as approved suppliers with the RSSB (Rail Safety and Standards Board).
-Whilst we appreciate that people are curious about a new provider. Some of the comments are defamatory in particular relating to the posting of personal details on this thread. We will be discussing this with Rail Forums. In the meantime we would ask that users please remove those posts.
Firstly thank you to those who’ve amended posts.
We are well aware that details are publicly available. We are also aware of the rules and procedures around this and context is key.
We hope to work with Rail Forums and their members in the near future. As we said earlier, we understand a reasonable level of curiosity around a new provider of train driver tests.

Railway Competence Group is under suppliers list.
ORR register is not currently publicly available, however I’m sure you can enquire with them directly.
Regarding test providers. There is a long process to registration for psychometric testing. As part of this process we are currently working with other providers.
I started this thread after finding your company last week and as I'm sure you can understand wanted to confirm everything was legitimate before booking with you.
as your using other test centers which I assume will prioritise there own work how long from booking with you would it take to get assessment dates and can you provide certificates of passes afterwards?
And which tests do you include in your assessments?
Not to worry; answering questions from members is not considered advertising and we are happy for you to engage with members on this forumI am conscious of not advertising without prior agreement with Rail forums. Please address questions regarding dates through website or email associated with this account.
And perhaps the bigger question would be do the TOCs recognise them as providing valid test results! DB are a recognised company who have been doing them for donkey's years so TOCs wouldn't, you'd think, have any qualms about it. But this new somewhat unknown company?
Thanks for clarifying! Our tests are recognised by all Train and Freight operators. The tests are standardized as opposed to each centre providing different tests.
In short they aren’t our tests, no more than any other provider has their tests. There are standard tests which we can provide.
As referenced in another post we are currently working with other centers whilst in the process of obtaining independent test centre status.
As such our tests have been completed by the established centers who we have been working with.
As referenced previously there are governing bodies associated with railway psychometric testing.
A simple way to check would be through the Railway and Safety Standards Board (RSSB) where we are listed as suppliers.

Or through the Office of Road and Rail (ORR). They do not currently have a publicly available list but I’m sure they can provide answers to legitimate queries regarding psychometric testing.
No problem.Thanks for clarifying!
Has anyone had any dealings with a website called Traindriving.co.uk or railway competence group ? The website is offering the chance to pay to sit the psychometric assessments POA, I enquired and received an email from RCP with a price of £549 for all assessments, the old saying if something sounds to good to be true comes to mind I'm afraid
What a load of nonsense.Don't ever think about doing this. OPC will test you for free- it's their results that count. I cannot believe that people would even pay this!
I know of a few of the people behind this.
Extremely competent, current and vastly experienced in the services they offer.
If your struggling to pass the MMI/DMI then you literally couldn't get better advice than this firm.
*I have not been paid or even spoken to regarding this company.
Apologies for delay we have been busy and are working through requests.I am 100 % interested in doing them. I have sent a message through their website and privately on here but had no reply yet.
