I once observed someone using a sanitiser and then immediately washing his hands in the normal way with soap and water afterwards, so there may also need to be some degree of education about the things...

I wonder what eBay is like right now!

eBay has announced a policy forbidding excessive pricing of items related to this virus panic and the same update warns against profiteering from disasters in general.

Quite how that works on auctions when the price is in reality up to the bidders I have no idea. They can probably police the starting prices*, but they can't stop people bidding up to silly levels can they? Indeed, why would they want to? The higher the final bid, the greater their cut on their fees...

*Having said that, they don't police anything on their site - they rely totally on people reporting things.

In what way are they filthy? I don't think drops of urine carry much danger, and surely people wash their hands after number 2?

Also I'm not sure that urine or faeces carry coronavirus.

They don't, but the latter does carry a lot of stuff that is far worse than this new strain of coronavirus.

I think it's safer for all if the majority have had the chance to wash their hands for free, rather than just a few people who were desperate enough to pay to use the toilet.

Very true, and I cannot see any reason why railway companies could not provide mini basins in general areas purely for the purposes of hand washing, particularly if infra red sensor taps and soap dispensers were fitted.
