Does anyone here know when the first Stagecoach South or Stagecoach South East bus will be repainted in the new livery?

I think a sanity check is needed here, we're talking minor variations to a livery that is a few weeks old, the buses we've seen so far are the first buses the painters have done in the new livery, I'm sure the first few buses painted in the original beach ball livery had faults...

I could agree if we were talking about something minor like where the turquoise bit of "beachball" crosses the downstairs windows (which passengers at a bus stop aren't going to notice or compare to other vehicles).

But the colour of the three panels underneath the windscreen seems pretty basic.

(and then insert the "black headlights" and "non-black headlights" versions too)

So that's four examples of something as simple/important as the first bit of the bus that passengers will see - if the instructions have gone to depots and they've applied such different versions then either the instructions are too complicated to follow or the depots don't care about following instructions - you'd hope primary school children could follow instructions on which way to apply the bands of colour.

Or maybe it's because Stagecoach supplied one picture based on just one type of bodywork and have left individual depots to guess how to apply this to other vehicle types? That seems unlikely (especially as Stagecoach have a pretty modern unified fleet nowadays), but whatever other reason can there be?

Oh my, what on earth have they done.

I wonder how much Stagecoach paid the company to design the rebrand for them to come up with this...

Do we know who the designer was? Certainly not Best Impressions. Perhaps it was in-house, as per the original stripes livery.

I think that looks pretty good. So much better without the black around the headlights. I reckon the E400 would look so much better like that.
I agree, and now I can't wait to see Scunthorpe's E300s looking like that, especially if Stagecoach will be discontinuing the Simplibus branding that they currently carry, hoping that there won't be any mention of Simplibus with the new livery.

Can’t agree there, the new branding is simply horrible. When you stick a great big ad down the length of the bus it just looks even worse, colours and shapes clashing all over the place. At least the old beachball colours were down the back end so didn’t get ad banners through the middle

When you put the launch E400MMC and 15698 side by side, you realise that Carlisle were closer to the money than Walkergate (admittedly the extra black to try and make the fronts match doesn't quite work).
27750 also matches up, just without the black - I believe there is still some debate around how best to do the original Enviro light clusters.

Bit difficult to bring the E200MMC into the comparison as the panel layout is so different. I do think it would look better with black light clusters though.

The Wakergate version is how it's officially meant to be done on old style E400s. I agree though it would look 'better' with black (but on the light clusters only).

Which ones?

15181 is in Eastbourne paint shop
26243 is I believe At ashford

And 15443 (ex 100 years bus) is being painted — however may not Be in The new scheme

This will never interesting as 26243 is an mmc and 15181 a gold bus

There has been some allocation changes as of this with 10703 and 10704 FK to HS 15773 and 15704 to Folkestone from Eastbourne and Herne Bay

Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get a picture of it as I was in a rush, but I noticed at Hull Interchange as the bus I was on was pulling in, a 2016 reg E400 MMC in the new colours, and I was very impressed with it. Before I left, I quickly asked the driver what he knew about it all and he said in Hull, they aim to have the entire fleet in the new colours, (except the odd one or two of their oldest vehicles that will be disposed of from the fleet pretty soon) by next January. He also said there will be a revised Simplibus branding applied to the MMCs.

Kent have now painted a E400 with yet another variation! Same as the Newcastle example but with black headlights. The Blue on the front half is set slightly further back too. Not to mention every repaint so far seems to have fleetnumbers in a totally different font/colour.

As I understand it some of these early repaints have jumped the gun a little bit and were completed by overeager depots before the official instructions and stencils were supplied. Stagecoach South East's 15181 is apparently painted to the specification, so hopefully we should start seeing some consistency.

But...Stagecoach South East have also outshopped 15443 in a variation of the new livery as their charity bus.

With the colour at the front not set as far back on the sides as the standard version!

I really don’t know what to think of the new livery. I mean it’s bright and I guess it’s something different but how difficult is it going to be to replace panels especially if certain buses have different variations in livery within that.

First have the right idea using more white and simplifying their livery. It not only looks smart but it’s more practical. Perhaps this will grow on me but it does seem a bit mad.

THere is too much white at the bottom, they should have kept the dark blue for the skirt to help hide the dirt...

In my experience stagecoach are pretty good at keeping the exteriors clean. Interiors could do with some love in my local area however.
