Cutting it fine now for those who have to hand in notice! Unless of course they are expecting people to go onto a later starting course.

As they said it was the 20th March start date, I could not have started in March as I have to give 4 weeks notice.

Are there still 3 courses, were Feb, Jun, Oct ?
Plus if DMIs not gone too well, could there be a further twist with more applicants being looked at ?

Has anyone had a knock back yet following the Manchester DMI? I wonder if they will wait till the next lot of DMI's are completed before we find out.

It is indeed 30th start date for March as I got my contract today. Training for Manchester peeps and surrounding areas are to start classroom teaching in Huddersfield. Not sure about others.

Indeed but this is for the trainee driver course. A few of us have signed for the 30th March now. It is possible to get an induction at a different time though!

Wow this thread went cold now! No one else on the thread has heard back yet? Surely that cannot be right? It's getting to mid-month now almost!

I did my stage 2 on the 26th Feb, and the OPC instructor said I would here 5-10 working days. Still within that at the moment so sitting tight, but if it takes longer so be it.

Out of interest those who were successful with the online tests, how quickly did you complete the checking(same/different) test.
There appeared to be some conjecture as to whether speed had any bearing. Was it all based on accuracy. Would be useful for future applications. Those, like me who did not get invited to assessment days, how quick did you do it.
Many thanks

Can't remember for my TPE one but I've done one recently for an application to East Coast Trains and I think I completed it with just under 3 minutes remaining. Speed will have some bearing but you've got to be accurate too.

I think I had about 3 minutes remaining too and it is about speed AND accuracy normally.

Still awaiting my DMI. But I havent heard of many people applying for NCL in this thread. Its possible a few are awaiting their stage 2 results and hopefully a block of people from NCL get some DMI dates.

I've been pulling my hair out, i have no idea what to expect when I do my DMI or the duration of the whole thing.

My interview was supposed to start at 11am but it started about 11.30 and I walked out at close to 1.15pm. It was a long interview but felt very quick as it was a relaxed conversation about me and the railway in general. We had a brew and even topped up half way through. They will ask the normal things. Why do you want to be a train driver? What do you know about the company? Give me a time when....I can't say the questions for sure as they may be different for you. But similar to the MMI in that sense. STAR system still works here but they don't need the crazy levels of detail I think. At least not in my interview.

This was just my experience. It could be different for every other person though!
