The Museum is not a good place to stand a bus for any longer than strictly necessary as the road gets blocked, so I hope the way it operates will take this into account.
Same, thought Wilko would be better, WG and Travel Cornwall both used it as termination/start points and it is more central. Can't see why it can't terminate at the bus station as it is meant to start there anyway, and just layover on the side if the bay is needed

When the bus station was being done up there were complaints from businesses about noise / fumes from buses parked up in Victoria St so buses laying over there might not go down well.

Probably not then, got too keep the neighbours happy, although the 18 plate MMCs were only just being introduced at the time, so all the Tridents and Darts didn't help in that case

The wilko stop has been long term closed whilst the cobble work is ongoing. Argos and museum block the road if any longer than set down pick up. Buses waiting on the park and ride stop outside the bus station city centre bound makes it tight to pull out in a bus from the bus station road, so again not suitable to wait time on that stop

So all-in-all the bus station would be best. Lemon Quay could maybe take more than one bus, outside the old Job Centre?

I’d say so, bus station staff manage it well at present, asking us to park on the outside if we’ve a layover and something else on that bay between arrival and departure.
I’ve seen two lines up by the old job centre before.

Remember Lemon Quay being quite chaotic during the bus station refurbishment, got quite cosy with the U1, 36, 66, T3 and the National Express being there, generally got 2-3 buses there before someone had to move

Problem with Wilko, is when Travel Cornwall used it, there was quite often no where for Kernow and Hopley's buses to park, quite often had to drop off in the middle of the road

I agree with the bus station, gets quite cosy when busy but everyone fits in eventually

I assume the 66 will just drop off at the Museum and then either park up somewhere or go onto another route

Quite a few people still haven't realised that unfortunately, most journeys I'm on at least someone will still press the bell, either on a journey from the college or on the U1 for the Conservative club, even after all the weeks so far of closures

By the time they realise, it will be done

Anyone know if college bus passes can be used on go ahead buses, just found out that the times I need to get the bus to / from college wont be served by first kernow at that time so only way to get home is with go ahead, so can we use passes on both services

I think you should take this up with the college asap and get them to find the definitive answer, even if it's only 'don't know' at present: you won't be the only one affected!

The planned Service 51 between Veryan and St. Austell has now been registered by Summercourt Travel. The timetable is now on Traveline SW. Summercourt have also registered services 428 and 497.

The best contacts would be the college or the council. I'm sure they'll update their public transport website sometime this year as they haven't bothered for the last 11 months! However nothing has/is changing!

it won’t leave you unable to get home or to college. Your passes will still be valid on the 2** series routes for what they are predominantly meant for. It’ll just mean being at college all day every day, no bunking off early etc

Ye but it's just annoying because I have to get the college bus at 7am in the morning which is fine when I have a lesson first but some days I dont have a lesson till 3pm so its practical to get a bus at 1pm rather then spend a whole day waiting around, also some people have contacting buses e.g 251 > 235 and 1/2 times the conexting bus leaves before the other arrives which means they have to wait for the next L2, but after 29th if college bus doesnt wait ( which happens alot) they will be stuck unable to get home

If you don't get a satisfactory answer from your college or the council I'd suggest you get in touch with your local councillor(s) because this is certainly something within their remit to investigate: so much the better, in a sense, if they are from the majority party as they'll be keen to ensure the new arrangements start with as few problems as possible. The nearer it gets to the start date, though, the more I fear the silence from the council side on anything is comparable to the Conservative government's criminal lack of meaningful preparation for Brexit.

I wonder if they'll ever get something on the Internet? Searching for 'Transport for Cornwall' suggests three truck companies and the county council website still regards the changes in 2 1/2 weeks as a state secret!

Fk have tweeted and facebooked their new timetable links. Lots of people questioning why they’ve no longer got a bus service in villages such as st Dennis. personally I’d love to see Fk hand out email addresses to the council people responsible and GCB management and get them bombarded! I guess unless the emails are already in public domain that’s a no go.
Ive known GAs newly appointed service delivery manager for st Austell and Newquay area for several years so I’ve made enquiries via Facebook to advise on things on the 93 for example which seems the biggest secret of all
