Same in Nottingham, all Orange 35s were empty along with Locallinks. I only saw an Orange 36 with one passenger
Lot of flack over withdrawal of 53 to hospitals. No buses for Clifton (except the 1 starting at 8am) leaving residents with just the Tram (first one 6am - no use for workers NHS etc who need to start work at 6am.....
Trent Barton Service Reductions.
From my observations on living next to two Sixes routes, every one passing here is empty, not seen a passenger travelling today.

Travelling back on my bike yesterday teatime I noticed empty rainbow 1s. eg the 415pm Nottingham to Alfreton via Selston had just one passenger on as it passed through Nuthall - these journeys are usually full at that time of day.
The biggest issue is for those villages left with no service where residents have no car and are effectively left stranded with no access to supermarkets in neighbouring towns.
Passed two villagers on the way to the shops at Lunch and both had the grand total of 0 passengers on.The biggest issue is for those villages left with no service where residents have no car and are effectively left stranded with no access to supermarkets in neighbouring towns.
A community bus firm has been accused of not caring for its staff after the death of a driver who had been self-isolating with coronavirus symptoms.
The man, who worked for CT4N in Nottingham, died at the weekend after becoming unwell on 25 March, five days after starting annual leave.
I'm not surprised that the Citaros are being disposed but despite their reliability issues, they could've displaced some Kinch Solars.Found this on coach and bus weekly. Seems Ipswich Buses purchased 3x 67 plates and 3x 64 plate Citaros

Maximum loading on any Rainbow 1 I've seen in Nuthall or Kimberley has been 5. Most only have 2 people on and that's with a half hourly frequency....
That is a good loading for the villager at the moment! What helps the villager is the hospital in Derby as quite a few people from the village's use it but I don't think the random Sunday timetable will help much with random gaps of 90 to 180 minutes. There was myself and one other on The Villager this afternoon. A Mickleover had two on. Surpringly, a nines came in with five or six on and had a similar amount to board. Not really sustainable, though.
Trent Barton seem to be doing pretty well at keeping their branded buses on the correct route still
Maybe its just to keep them in service and running or applying a 1 bus, 1 driver strategy? The one V3 and Royal that i passed this morning had around 2 passengers on between them.Surprised to see the Rainbow 1 due Nottingham 15.25 today was a red bus, I would have thought that with running a half hourly schedule they would have had plenty of blue Rainbow 1s available! (They aren't interworking the R1 with anything else).
Before the current climate, the 27 seemed to be rammed or empty.I boarded the R1 at lunchtime at Nuthall, it had 2 passengers on and gained 2 more at Larkfield. When I alighted at Kimberley 2 more boarded. The only bus stop queues I have seen, repeatedly, are for the 27 in Kimberley - in both directions - I couldn't work out today where the 27 queue ended and where the Wilko queue ended!
This is after one of the CT4N drivers died from Covid. The NCT Medilink replacement is using double deckers, apparently to increase social distancing. Obviously they have plenty spare at present.CT4N have withdrawn all their services so Nottingham City Transport are temporarily operating Medilink along the same route between City Hospital and QMC. Hulleys are operating the 14 and 29.
From Sunday 26 April we're making the following changes to timetables to ensure more journeys for key workers are available and to improve capacity, ensuring social distancing can be maintained as best as possible.
