It’s interesting to note that due to Coronavirus and the much-reduced tube services, there will be regular trains traversing the curve that links Rickmansworth to Croxley.
I know the Croxley Line project is probably dead in the water, but I wonder if - in normal times - if there would be demand for this connection?

Chesham to Watford special service
Every 30 minutes in both directions.
Customers from Chesham requiring services toward Central London should change at Rickmansworth

Not while the line terminates in a housing estate on the wrong side of Cassiobury Park.

I would have loved to make the trip to do the curve in daylight but not under the present circumstances

This service will be withdrawn from tomorrow, and an alternative service implemented. Amersham and Chesham trains will now run through to Baker Street every 60 minutes (combined frequency of every 30 minutes Chalfont-Moor Park). Amersham services will run all stations, Cheshams will run Fast "all the way" (Moor Park, Harrow, Finchley Road) all day.
