I remember seeing 50001 and 50050 paired up on an early Newton Abbot to Exeter working that used to bring a pair up from Laira.

Technically the first and last would be 50049/50 due to 050 being D400 but I do get your meaning :D

Can’t comment on 185101 and 185151 being paired, although it has bound to have happened at some point, however, I have seen numerical pairings on a number of occasions. I have had 185116 and 185117 on a Saturday late night York-Newcastle and 185126 and 127 on the same job (although that time it came from liverpool as 6 and I worked it through opposed to coupled up at York) almost a year apart, and taken 148 and 149 along the Calder valley on a divert. They are the only ones I have noted but in 13 years there will have been others....

I've no doubt that 507001 will have worked with 507033 at some point since 1978....508101 & 508143 likely as well, although a much shorter window of time for that as 508101 was only in use on Merseyrail for about 9/10 years....

It must happen with many current classes as often as any other pairings. Does anyone actually believe they would be rarer for some reason?

You won’t get 332001/332014 together, as the latter is pretty much derelict.

As things stand at the moment 150001 and 150002 will be paired together when they move from GWR to Northern next week although they are a sub-class.

Nor first and last, but first and first - I had 153301 (52301) and 153351 (57351) on a trip on the Calder Valley a good few years ago. And yes they were coupled at the #2 ends which is how they'd have been as 155301 until they were reengineered 30 years ago.
