Photo on Facebook of five Tinners parked up at Somerset Passenger Solutions with another 14 reported to be on their way.

sps normally runs full and standing... not good during distancing so extra buses going to help out. Kernow sending drivers on a 3 weeks on 3 weeks off basis to assist as well

So what's happening with all the tinners seems to be only a few on the tinner route mainly taken over by presidents, lizards and geminis

Some are at Somerset Passenger Solutions, who need more buses because of the virus social distancing.

Of all the services that they’ve lost and not registered commercially, the 21 and 93 are perhaps the most surprising.

The 21 isn’t very busy as a whole route. It’s mainly St Dennis to St Austell,
Or Fraddon/Indian queens onwards into Newquay which was covered by the proposed half hourly 91.

the 93 is merely a 91 going off route to serve St Columb Major adding 20 mins and mileage to a journey for a handful of passengers. Not knowing individual locations exact figures from duties I’ve worked the 91 serves the majority of passenger journeys across the 91/21/93 routes and is less time, less mileage which all adds up!

Not knowing the official answer but from a post on a Facebook group from a driver who took them up yesterday, all are going on loan! Suppose sending the red ones makes us look less like TfC for the time being

That seems a bit stupid sending some of the best buses in the fleet to not look like TFC that dont even have any e400 mmc, and saw a TFC e200mmc in tescos helston earlier looks well bland and just a plain red with some stickers

Kernow are still tweaking their Pandemic Timetable, the 24, 27 and U2 have additional journeys in the morning and evening, the 27 the most useful for the key workers as it leaves Treliske at 20:20

Likely further services will be tweaked as things progress

It’s not stupid at all if there’s a stipulation in the SPS contract about vehicle age or emissions meaning older vehicles can’t be used.

it was tongue in cheek and not serious that was not really why they are sent.
There is likely age and emission standard to be met on the contract and they presumably meet that standard!

Given the skeleton service being provided from tomorrow until further notice better to have them at work elsewhere than in store. There'll still be more than enough of the decent stuff to go around.

What's happening to these two? CC owned so transferring across?

Yes.

12 Tinners and a BoS E200 on loan to SpS. Each going with their own driver from ‘home’

Kernow emergency network barring the M6 will be Euro 6 operated with more than enough E6 buses remaining to cover the emergency timetable

Listened to key worker passengers there is an additional 2020 treliske to st Austell service from Monday just announced on Facebook. Most ward staff finish 1930-2000.

edit... not just the 27, various Facebook posts surrounding feedback from key workers with additional journeys introduced surround hospital shift patterns

Saw a number of Geminis heading down the M5 on Friday afternoon: not sure if these were among them but I am pretty sure at least one 75/76 branded one was along with a few 24-branded ones.

Presumably the green ones and presumably destined for repaint to TfC livery?

37001 is the only 75/76 branded one, now extinct!
