Giving the condition they are in its most probably scrap as well the fact they are nearly 40
I’d be shocked if any units remained in passenger use.

Off to Ely for storage, diverted vice straight to scrap so Angel have some need to keep them at the moment.I’d be shocked if any units remained in passenger use.
317708 and 317719 went to Northampton last week, there was also a move on 24/3 but units unknown.
Interesting. In tracking down the working, it seems 708 and 719 went on 27/3 (https://flic.kr/p/2iJPkko) but there was a Northampton - Ilford working earlier in the day. I wonder if that was the units that went on the 24/3 being swapped for some reason.
These two are some of the last few due to receive PRM mods. They are on their way to Kilmarnock.317511 and 317884 currently at Crewe on this move presumably for store https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K02065/2020-04-13/detailed
Which ones are PRM modified? Sorry if there is a list in another thread, to be honest just too lazy to go looking! These two are some of the last few due to receive PRM mods. They are on their way to Kilmarnock.

Can’t believe I missed this I left work early yesterday but would of stayed if I knew! These two are some of the last few due to receive PRM mods. They are on their way to Kilmarnock.
Thanks for the infoThe full list of units which either have been or will be modified is as follows:
317337-344, 347, 348, 501, 502, 504, 506-508, 510-513, 515, 881-886
In other news, GA's temporary two-hourly Cambridge - Stansted Airport shuttle seems to be booked a single 317. Nice to see the old girls out and about up this end of the line again, even if it is just one per day!
Hope this helps!
One today, will be one coming back with pmri mods? (Whatever it is!?)

57301+317885It is a DRS liveried Class 57 hauling one Greater Anglia (red doors) liveried Class 317. Sorry it was too dark to see the numbers when it passed me on my daily walk.
Agreed - seems more than odds on. All /8s long gone and /7s well on way out:Anybody wanting to catch an ARL 317 May be out of luck...with the current reduced timetable, run exclusively by 315/710 with an abundance of options/replacements for both, if this continues for a considerable period and training restarts there’s a good chance that 317s will never come back in service at all.
They started off on BedPan services replacing hydraulic DMUs before being replaced themseives by dual voltage 319s. Next stop was to Bletchley for LM servi ces from Euston to Birmingham New Street. Being replaced this time by Dusty Bin 321s they all finally congregated at Hornsey and Ilford. A few even made it to the LTS as a stop gap until the 357s arrived. Will miss the 317's they have put in sterling service, the 317/5's are in almost as built condition internally . They are unsung heroes especially on West Anglia. Hopefully 1 is saved. Would be great to see one repainted into origonal Blue and Grey which for me was their finest livery

Do you know when the last one ran?Agreed - seems more than odds on. All /8s long gone and /7s well on way out:
317708 Northampton
709 Northampton
710 Northampton
714 off lease, ROSCO taken to Wembley?
719 Northampton
723 Northampton
729 off lease, ROSCO taken to Wembley?
732 Northampton
I think most of the first series ran on the LTS at least once. I had nearly 30 of them. They had 20 units for a few years. They went back to WAGN but during the 357 crisis they hired three random pairs of WAGN units every day. This included units that had not worked on LTS before. They started off on BedPan services replacing hydraulic DMUs before being replaced themseives by dual voltage 319s.
