Zero evidence of their existence at St Austell bus station, or on any of their routes down here!

customers are complaining to First drivers about no showing buses no information available about buses. They don’t realise we no longer operate these services and there is nothing to say otherwise

Of course neither Cornwall CC or Go Ahead have any incentive in trying to correct people's assumption that it's First that is the issue and it's always the first bus driver that anybody meets that gets the complaints!

In a few months some Councillor will be able to say that they managed to introduce all this, deal with Covid 19, defeat the Spanish armada and never received any complaints to their new complaints centre!

Sadly so very true. Everyone will blame First for the lack of provision, even though its TfC. Also of note is that the first website provides a link to the TfC emergency services, but TfC don't provide a link to First which is not good.

Also, looking at the TfC timetable. How does the 16 serve St Ives Bus Station on the way back from Carbis Bay as theer is no stop on the road towards Penbeagle?

Don't forget Hopley's. They're running TfC services as well.

This has been covered earlier in this tread, but basically Hopley's and OTS are getting new buses, but Summercourt have acquired secondhand buses, mainly E200s.
What will Go Ahead be using as a permanent fleet, besides the new E200MMCs?

The e200mmc aswell as the new enviro 400mmc city when the ADL producing restarts and they are made.
There might be newer vehicles for other parts of TFC like Ots and hopleys

I was surprised to see no mention of PCB's new operating centres in today's N&P, considering it's a live document until it's published.

I can only assume that, given the situation, PCB have been given temporary permission to use them pending formal approval.

Did any of PCB's original timetables for 29/3 and following ever make it into print for posterity, other than the ones for the 35/A, 42, 60, 65, 65A, 67 and 69/A which TfC published in the Falmouth Packet free paper, indicating that OTS would actually be operating them?

See post 507 for an image of the timetable that never was.

Sorry, should have been more explicit - did any timetables escape into the public domain? I take it that composite timetable was never publically available, even for a day? I'd pay a few quid for one, certainly, for my own collection and not for resale.

They were all on the website in pdf format.

One of the guys who works for OTS said in a comment on a photo on Flikr that their SR 5373, will likely only have another year or so left with the company due to it being less fuel efficient than their Sprinters

Whether TfC want to use it elsewhere, would be handy on many of their routes but operators in general don't normally like one offs in their fleets

Their app is now also on Google Play

It would enable them to serve Mousehole harbour, although just having one bus with no spare isn't ideal.

Would be handy, but as you said they always need a back up just in case

Is the OTS SR shorter than Kernow's ones which I hear are too big for Mousehole?

I think it's the shortest version.
Might squeeze in then, not sure how near or far the Kernow's ones were in fitting in the harbour but for the few M6s that TfC are doing it would be worth it to enable the full route to be done

The mousehole buses must be no bigger then 7.9m long which all Kernow buses are bigger then, but the smallest version of the Solo is 7.87 m so if that is the smallest version it will fit but only just

Three of Kernow's Solos are 7.1m long. They also have five 7.9m Solos, three of which are in Mousehole livery.

Yes sorry you are correct, but I know Kernow want to replace there aging mousehole fleet, but they don't have any small Optare's available to fit down there.

Go ahead have released a further timetable change from Monday.
22 and 25 booked for 45 min layover in Asda st Austell. I’m hoping they go off somewhere as the bus lane isn’t big enough to go round a parked or stopped bus for the 24 passing whilst they are there

You must be experiencing the same problem I did, typed it in and couldn't find it, so had to follow the link on twitter

Here it is: https://t.co/u6dkLS5glZ?amp=1
Appears to be built on the stock Go-Ahead app that is seen elsewhere. The app itself is pretty reasonable, personally I'm disappointed that there doesn't appear to be any timetables directly within the app itself.

There isn’t any timetable or publications on half their routes. Nothing for anyone who isn’t on social media to know they’ve taken over. Most amusingly their bus stop publicity man is asking on Facebook where’s nice to go and put up his publicity!!!! How about the routes you’re running! He’s openly admitted to us he doesn’t know the routes or where many stops are. He’s put publicity up in places they don’t run, hasn’t put anything up in places they do!
All this outfit are missing is a hat to go with the rest of the cowboy performance

I did wonder what he was doing at Sennen Cove yesterday given that even under normal circumstances none of their services are due to go there until at least the winter timetable (unless you count the one early morning A1 journey that isn't currently running).

I see the 16A starts from Monday, giving Zennor a service. Still nothing on the 5 or 8 though.

Hopefully the app will evolve like First's has, and with not many people currently travelling now is the time, so when everyone comes out of near hibernation everything will be up and running

TfC have been given a lifeline in this Pandemic, hopefully they use it

On Wednesday, having endured Poundland in Penzance, I took a rest on a seat at the bus stop opposite, which is basically for A17 St Ives passengers, and there were two tiny timetables in the huge timetable frame there. First had removed theirs, referring to their website, but TfC had provided a timetable for the early morning journeys from Mousehole and the school buses, which don't even come into Pz! However, there was a timetable for the 8 there. I noticed that the timing points for both Sainsbury and Morrison referred to the 'main road outside'. Does it no longer go into the car parks of both those stores? If not, what use is the route to the mainly elderly who use the service? Tesco wasn't mentioned at all, unlike in previous timetables.

On the original pre Covid 19 timetable service 8 was showing outbound as "Long Rock Morrison's" & "Sainsburys entrance". The return "Sainsbury's entrance" and "Long Rock opp Morrison's". Not sure where the bus was supposed to go after Long Rock on the return run from St Just as there seem long gaps between it arriving and departing Long Rock.
