Given that:

When operational the station will be used by up to an estimated 250,000 passengers each day, making it set to become one of the busiest railway stations in the country and (potentially) second only to London Waterloo.

I can see why HS2 will be a White Elephant!

I've added over 120 old rail slides from 2001 to my website. There's a range of companies covered, including the late (unlamented) Connex as well as Gatwick Express, First Great Eastern, Silverlink and others, plus pictures of the building of High Speed 1, ...https://paulbigland.zenfolio.com/recent.html

Here's part 2 of my blogs lifting the lid on the infighting and politics of the anti Hs2 movement, which is profoundly anti democratic and also anything but 'green'....https://paulbigland.blog/2020/09/19/theres-trouble-at-tstophs2-mill-pt-2/

Here's my latest blog detailing the huge amount of progress being made on building HS2 right now, with a large number of contacts being tendered or awarded. Latest wins include the slab track, which will be manufactured in Somerset.

Over the past few weeks I've been busy scanning old rail slides from around the world from the period 1991 - 2002.
Countries included in the list are:
Malaysia
Indonesia
Denmark
India
Nepal
Australia and New Zealand

There's also many old steam loco pictures from India (both metre-gauge and broad gauge).

You can find which galleries they've been added to by following this link...Paul Bigland Photography | Recent (zenfolio.com)
