Im surprised that 144011 didn't go downrailcam reports the units heading for storage at KWVR are 144001, 012, 014, 017 and 020 on the neville hill and holbeck moves, the hull move hasn't departed yet.

Cheers I am blind as hell. Before anyone No im not actually blind but you could call me blind for missing thatRead the last few posts. It is there now.
I assume you mean stored rather than preserved, but yes- reduced service levels mean not as many are required to run the emergency timetable. How come the 144s have been preserved? Is it because of the current timetable/current conditions due to COVID-19
You do have a pointI assume you mean stored rather than preserved, but yes- reduced service levels mean not as many are required to run the emergency timetable.
If they do return to service it might just be left there
The units are still on lease to Northern and will therefore have to be formally handed back to Porterbrook at the end of the lease. Normally that means some time on depot for handback inspections. The latest post on the KWVR Facebook page seemed to suggest this last night along with a photo of the unit in it's future home.
The post was then edited to clarify that this particular visit is temporary, suggesting they expect it to return to service before it's eventual residency.
So there goes the hopes of having 144011 in service on either triangle services or Leeds to Lancaster services all day on its last day and then having it run empty to keighleyThe units are still on lease to Northern and will therefore have to be formally handed back to Porterbrook at the end of the lease. Three two-car 144s have just passed Elsecar (Barnsley) heading north, the rear unit being 144005. I would assume these are bound for Keighley.

The post you replied to would not rule that out (although neither triangle nor Lancaster services are covered by the derogation so if it did run those services it would have to be in multiple with a PRMed 15x).So there goes the hopes of having 144011 in service on either triangle services or Leeds to Lancaster services all day on its last day and then having it run empty to keighley
It couldn’t happen anyway as those routes aren’t on the list of derogated routes they can run on.So there goes the hopes of having 144011 in service on either triangle services or Leeds to Lancaster services all day on its last day and then having it run empty to keighley
and seemingly another from Neville Hill to KWVR this evening

144004 and 144009 are the other 2
Thanks
How many 144s are at Keighley now? It must be close to the entire class
Im sorry to burst your bubble here but I don't see that as a valid reason to not to run it on one of those diagrams on its last day because as @61653 HTAFC said It could if connected up to a PRMed 15x. (If you want to know more please go to https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/diagrams-for-144011-last-day-under-northern-operation-before-it-goes-to-k-wvr.202112/ )It couldn’t happen anyway as those routes aren’t on the list of derogated routes they can run on.
First of all it would rule it out either way because I didn't know that an off lease train had to go back to depot for a handback inspection after its last day with a TOC. My idea was to have it decouple from a 15x at Keighley to then take it to oxenhope empty but now that I know it needs a handback inspection (likely in a National Rail depot) I see no chances of it ever happening now.The post you replied to would not rule that out (although neither triangle nor Lancaster services are covered by the derogation so if it did run those services it would have to be in multiple with a PRMed 15x).
If it is still stored there once Northern know that they won't need it in service again, it seems a waste to move it back to Neville Hill just to decommission it and then send it back to the KWVR. If it's possible to perform any "handback" inspection needed on site, it would make sense to do so.
There are 16 out of 23 units at Keighley - all except 008, 015, 018, 019, 021, 022 and 023 are now at Keighley.
019 and 022 are expected to arrive tomorrow, which means 18 out of 23 at Keighley and just leaves the remaining 5 in store at Heaton.

They can't all be at Heaton, I saw at least one in service today, thanks to the Doncaster Railcam.
I've updated the reference list, the update is under FRI 03 APR, to include the stood down class 144's. Where is 017 stored it it at Heaton or at Keighley?
