Does anyone in the know, care to hazard a guess as to whether the planned major changes to EMR services from December will still go ahead, given the Covid situation?
I'm in the talent pool there and wondering if all hope is lost -_-

Thanks

EMR have today just advertised for a qualified drivers talent pool at the London depot. This would suggest you’ll be OK!

If it didn't go ahead, I'm guessing they'd have to re-work the whole of the Dec 2020 timetable changes - because the EMR changes will affect a number of other operators where EMR services cross their path e.g. Thameslink, Cross Country, which in turn could impact where those operators cross the path of others.

Providing the infrastructure work is complete and the rolling stock available to undertake driver training, can't see why it wouldn't occur?

From what I hear it is completely dependent on the current crisis. Kettering depot training and the Corby timetable certainly taking priority over anything on the locals side.

They won’t, it will be in May 21 instead. But it doesn’t change any of the recruitment profiles or preparation - apart from the current social distancing restrictions, it is very much still ‘go’.
