Can anyone offer any advice of what TFW are like to work for, specifically drivers? Also what shifts and routes do Shrewsbury sign?

Please pardon my ignorance. Shrewsbury sign Llanwrtyd Wells? What actually happens? Do driver's change at this station?
They do indeed - the Heart of Wales line services cross at either that location or Llandrindod Wells. Shrewsbury (and maybe Crewe guards but that’s by the by) crews work the service until the crossing point, then they swap trains with the Carmarthen crew from the other train and work the northbound service back to Shrewsbury.

Thanks very much for clarifying. I went through the link, following ArchangelA's OP and then googled Llanwrtyd Wells. I wasn't expecting anything the size of, say, Manchester Piccadilly but was quite surprised to see that the station is little more than an outhouse. Well I've learned something new today...

No worries.
It’s definitely not a PNB point put it that way
