Obviously the longest bus route in London is the X26. However, this route uses double decked vehicles. Does anybody know the longest route that you can go on that uses single deck vehicles?

The longest one that I am aware of is the 314 between New Addington and Eltham (14 miles).

Isn't this also the bus that goes the furthest outside of London?
Correct. The 465 travels approximately 9 miles beyond the Greater London boundary (Malden Rushett) and goes beyond the M25. IIRC there was a proposal to curtail the service to Leatherhead but this was met with fierce opposition from users of the route.
