Something seasonal this time:-

As there have been no takers yet, I will give a clue.

The station is on the London Underground.

This seems to be more difficult than I first thought, or maybe everyone is too busy enjoying themselves over Christmas. <:D

The answer station is an anagram, and has two words.

I will give the answer if there are no takers in the next day or so.

He should have bought a ticket for Windermere, but he was careless and so he went to ask Ethel around instead!

In byword-type horticultural location, one might see situation of a bogus version of Lord Peter's beloved

Harrietsham it is -- nice to meet another Sayers reader ! I'd framed it as "Harriet sham" -- a "bogus version" of the genuine article; but anyway, you got the correct answer. (The "byword-horticultural-location" bit, refers to the "stock" thing about Kent, wherein the station lies, being the "Garden of England"). Incidentally, in the books I just cannot stand Harriet -- wretched whiny biddy -- can't imagine what Wimsey sees in her...

Your turn to set about baffling the sleuths.
