A railway enthusiast I know has been searching for an old photo of Carbis Bay Station. This is a single platform station and had its name spelled out on the bank opposite the platform in white stones. Originally the name was spelled out in sea shells and it's photos of this original feature that this enthusiast is looking for. Can the great group of RailUK Forum users help?

Thanks

I suspect when the G7 come to town, the whole area will be spruced up so those seashells could return, especially with Biden being a train fan!

Perhaps GWR should think about sprucing up or temporarily replacing the tatty old 150 which works that line? I imagine by then some 158s will have been freed up by the 769 introduction and resulting cascade.

Tatty?

I've travelled on this line a few times over the last two or three years and the 150 has been absolutely immaculate compared to the tired old ones we have to endure in Northern land!

Sorry, but the one thing they aren't is tatty!
We used it in the middle of last year and were most impressed on how clean and tidy the train and the stations were.

MadMac: Thanks for the picture. This is the one with the station name laid out in stones. The one my colleague wants is with the station name laid out in sea shells. But thanks again for looking.
