hey guys I had a call today from GTR regarding my DMI last week I tried to call back but i reckon it was out of office hours. Is this involved in the recruitment process of being successful or should I be expecting a email?

Just received an email confirmation saying I passed the mini scaat test (which caught me by surprise). I’m now just waiting for an assessment date. Can anyone advise on how long it usually takes to get an assessment date?
Hi. Passed my scaat in Feb. Had an email re assessment days at Croydon with possible dates in April and May. Then had email telling me it won’t be until July or August. Seems to be taking an age.

Hello folks, so I applied for trainee train driver position back in Dec last year and received my SJE assessment invitation yesterday. Can anyone throw some light what to expect in that test?

I had lost my hope on this but I guess it's time for some action

Thanks in advance

Not to be rude, but go back through the thread and your question (and many more that you might have) will probably be answered. There's a lot of useful information already here.

Hi All,
I've received an email saying next test dates will be in July/August for next available slots.
But I've also heard that the ciriculum has changed so chances will be wiped. Has anyone else heard of this news?

Do you mean the tests are changing so everyone has 2 chances again? If so, where did you hear about this? Was it from a reliable source? I haven’t heard anything.

I don't think that the date for this is known, however The OPC has ran a trial of new type of testing among candidates for diffrent companies mid-2020. I took part in it I think in May or June.

It is a fact that if testing changes completely, then lives are restored.

Apologies if this has already been raised and answered. I have my miniscaat assessment and am happy with what the assessment involves but am interested in how you actually cross.off the letters etc they are after. Is it as simple as clicking on the required symbol with your mouse or is it more complicated. I appreciate it may seem.like a stupid question but the mock exam through the opc was on paper which didn't really give you the exam experience u need. Any answers gratefully received even the sarcastic ones

Hi Shakes

yes, it’s as simple as clicking on the required letters with your mouse. The mini scaat test is pretty straight forward and before you do the real tests you’re given the chance to do practice tests. Don’t worry too much about it as I’m sure you’ll do just fine

Yes the miniscaat you will be required to click the requested letters, use a wired mouse or make sure your wireless one has new batteries to avoid any mishaps. Most things you can find in the search function top right of the page - not too much change so even old threads can be informative. All the best!

Just done my miniscaat test. Did I miss something and press a wrong button, but did the test only compile of one test of 1 target letter, one test of 2 target letters and one test with a target letter and the 1st letter of the row. I was expecting more tests. I much preferred the practise tests using pen and paper!!!! Oh well its done
