Am I right in thinking 43274 and 42102 make up the 1st HST set and a red set is the 2nd?
yep pretty much that - they sit at cricklewood (or do an ECS route learner which on Thurs 13th is acting as a one off rail tour)
not sure it can be a 100% gaurantee but -
I believe it should be on weekdays:

first set out does:

1C15
dep Leeds 05.19
via Doncaster and Derby
arr St P 07.03

Then to Cricklewood, then

1D48
St P 15.34
Nottm 17.10

1B69
Nottm 17.45
St P 19.36

1F70
St P 20.01
via Derby
Leeds 23.11
----------------------
Second set out does

1B23
dep Leeds 0638
not via Doncaster
via Nottm dep 08.32
arr St P 10.11

Then 5M17 route learning trip or to cricklewood, then

1D43
St P 14.34
Nottm 16.10

1B63
Nottm 16.45
St P 18.34

1D66
St P 19.04
via Nottm
Leeds 22.49

From my notes of a week or two back, not freshly checked so others may want to correct any errors
Am I right in thinking 43274 and 42102 make up the 1st HST set and a red set is the 2nd?

Which day, and what's your source, as RTT shows Thu/Fri 1C15 coming from Leeds as far as I can see.

Thurs 13th am. Yes. RTT shows it running, EMR journey planner shows it running. But after paying for my ticket, EMR app advised the journey planner is incorrect and train starting at Derby and to take an alternative service to Derby! Crazy!
Also RTT is showing 1F70 return terminating at Derby!

That's a bit odd because it still shows as Leeds on the summary screen for Derby Station.

If they were today it was 'discreet' - I was on 4 HSTs and I only encountered good natured staff, travelers being sensible (at least where I could see) and announcements by no means OTT. All very good. Go while you can!

The two I was on (probably some of yours) were just “please wait till the train has come to a complete halt...” style ones

Yes, thanks, indeed just that. And I also meant to say the diagrams running were the ones I expected to operate.

As probably already mentioned there is a HST farewell railtour from St Pancras on Thursday (I'm booked on it). It comes in ecs from Leeds at 10:11am and the tour returns at 14.19pm into St Pancras. My question is this, will Friday be the last day and if so what is the expected last departure please?

I had thought it had been suggested (up thread) that saturday would be last day - see post #146 up thread - unless the info has been superceded

but as per this page EMR are not stating it seems

BTW - I don't think your tour train arrives ECS - I believe it is one of the morning southbound passenger workings from Leeds and Nottingham, then goes on to provide an afternoon return service to Nottingham via the 'main line' as opposed to the tour route via Corby.
See my post #190
