I'm off to St P anyway so I'll let you know
1334 is a voyager 222012
I think I passed one on the 1234 St Pancras

Thanks, the 1434 will be wedged with returnees from the tour. I went to King's Cross for the 1330.
Overnight in Edinburgh tonight and the 1434 is a difficult manoeuvre to Edinburgh and collect the keys etc.
I had one unexpected Hst on the 0525 Plymouth Newcastle this morning.

Hopefully the 1434 St Pancras - Nottingham and the 1645 return are run by 274 + 102 tomorrow?

I don't know about 13.34 departure from St P, but I would say the 14.34 is an HST (made up from the HST currently running the Branch Line Society EMR HST farewell train)

I guess it would be helpful to know where things are today thurs from anyone who knows with any certainty

ei
a) one HST out or two?
b) what services being run with HST today (thurs 13th) with whatever is out
Only one HST out. Returning off the rail tour and looking like it will form 14.34 to Nottingham.

It's great to read all these posts, slightly off topic I know but I went on a cycling holiday in 1979 when I got the train to Bristol but cycled from there to Penzance and then back to Exeter ... plus some rail-related things like the Falmouth branch and a few others, but at the time we were especially interested in the 50+Mark 2 services and sneered at the modern "plastic" HSTs which were in the process of being introduced.

It's telling that the HSTs lasted a lot longer than the loco-hauled services I was so keen on at the time.

Likewise for the Peak+Mark 2 services on the Midland of course.

Is today's farewell the last ever run of HST slam door stock now? :(
No - should be HSTs in EMR public service runs on friday and saturday (should be weekday times on Friday as posted up thread fingers crossed). Hopefully 2 HST sets all being well.

On another matter....
So 1F70, 20.01 from St P only ran to Derby, not Leeds this eve. Any particular reason known for that? I'm assuming because it wasn't an HST - with only one set out on Thurs 13th may.

and of note EMR website now says:

"⚠️On the last day of operation, a separate queuing system will be in place for HST departures from London St Pancras. Boarding will be limited to maintain social distancing capacity on board. We understand that this might mean that not everyone who would like to travel on the last HSTs will be able to. If you are unable to board you will be permitted to travel on the next available departure to your destination."

Yes that diagram was switched to a Class 222 Meridian train for the day and started/terminated at Derby.
Hopefully back to an HST tomorrow

Tomorrow (Friday) it should be 1F70 - the 2221 from Sheffield to Leeds. I’ll try remember to report back as I’ll be keeping a check tomorrow to see if it is out

and on Saturday hopefully departures from Sheffield northbound at 21.26 and 22.21 by my reckoning.

But I'd go out both Friday and Sat in case anything goes wrong / anything gets pulled out as it did last weekend due to onboard behavior issues during the day in question ('enthusiast' window related antics)

Is anyone able to confirm todays diagrams and allocations please?
Looks to me (from RTT, so unable to confirm with personal observation) 2 sets out working to normal weekday diagrams (see post #190 up thread)

According to my notes, I've never seen 43102 and would like to before it retires. Any idea on passenger loadings today, could do a cheeky run to Nottingham in FC. Alternatively, where would be a good station north of STP to see them travelling through. Many thanks.

I'd be tempted to aim for the 14.34 from St P (if starting from the southern end of the line) on the basis that services will get busier in general later in the day, which from what Optima says it will be on - as you can see it's non stop to Mkt Harboro. I'm not sure if it runs through any stations on the route esp slowly. St P is not really a great place to see them as access to platforms is restricted and the view from the other side of the barrier line is not very good (even if 43102 was at the buffer stop end that is)

But if it might be crowded (no idea on that) I suppose the option is to go earlier to Mkt Harboro or Leicester and join the train there.

Yes, I has assumed this related to Saturday (also busy due to sport as mentioned up thread), tho I guess could be implemented today if circs dictate.

43102 is just outside Wellingborough heading south on ecs to form the 1434 to Nottingham. It will be on the blocks at St Pancras when it gets there.

Are these the supposed diagrams for tomorrow (Saturday) which will be the last EMR HSTs?
There are separate Weekday, Saturday and Sunday diagrams. In previous weeks there have just been 2 Saturday services in each direction.

Interestingly there are two photos on Facebook of screens at St Pancras and Leicester stating that it is 'Last Day of HST service'

For the record todays diagrams from Facebook:
43309 + 43272
5C15 05+03 Neville Hill to Leeds
1C15 05.19 Leeds to London St Pancras (Final EMR HST to call at Doncaster).
5C15 09+10 London St Pancras to Cricklewood Depot
5D48 15+02 Cricklewood Depot to London St Pancras
1D48 15.34 London St Pancras to Nottingham
1B69 17.45 Nottingham to London St Pancras (Final EMR HST to call at Kettering).
1F70 20.01 London St Pancras to Leeds
5F70 23+33 Leeds to Neville Hill

43102 + 43274 (43102 facing south)
5B23 06+11 Neville Hill to Leeds
1B23 06.34 Leeds to London St Pancras
5M17 10+21 London St Pancras to London St Pancras (Manton route learner)
1D43 14.34 London St Pancras to Nottingham
1B63 16.45 Nottingham to London St Pancras (Final EMR HST to call at Luton).
1D66 19.04 London St Pancras to Leeds (Final EMR HST to call at Luton Airport Parkway, Bedford, Wellingborough, Loughborough and Beeston).
