Crosscountry have cancelled the 16:07 Nottingham to Birmingham service at NOT due to a “fault with this train”. Further information suggests that emergency services are dealing with a fire from a bogey. The unit in question is 170639

With so many of their Nottingham to Cardiff and Birmingham services allegedly cancelled (removed from the timetable) this will be a tricky decision to make. Hopefully this won’t lead to too much overcrowding.

Edit : think most of the removed services are in the morning so perhaps not so drastic.

Thanks for the info.

This explains why 1D67 the 1623 arrival was replatformed to 6 instead of 5; I'm watching it, as it forms 1V14, the 1707 departure, which will be my train home - thanks to the normal Willington train (1G52) being an early victim of Crosscountry staff shortages.

I'm pretty sure it isn't. Typo. 170639 shown.
The info I have from colleagues suggest that it was 170635, which could either be wrong or running vice 639. One small mistake I made in my original post was that it was a Cardiff service. The 16:07 is in fact a Birmingham service

There isnt a unit 170635 anymore, its 535 and still at WMT. I think the centre car of 635 is now in one of the lengthened xc units though.

It’s been ever so slightly altered since your posting @43055 , here is the new path:

Given the time of day and the time it’s scheduled to take, could it possibly be on wheelskates?

It would suggest that could be the case.
