I know what you meant, and the same applies. I could be wrong, but in this case, I highly doubt it.

Dover, Ramsgate? Infact I would probably even go as far as saying kent? Since I believe that the Intercity trains that went to Dover were 47s + Mk2s?, Ramsgate Similar (although I've heard Deltics were used as well?, I've never actually seen on in service though :( )

Has this been answered? Yes, Deltics were used. D9000 Royal Scots Grey did Birmingham to Ramsgate return on Saturdays. Birmingham Northwards was an electric loco I believe.

There is a picture on page 60 of Rail 660 showing an HST in passenger service at Sea Mills on the Severn Beach line...

Dunno for sure, but I guess maybe some London lines such as the Epsom Downs/Tattenham Corner/Caterham/Hampton Court/Bromley North/East Grinstead/Crystal Palace-Beckenham Junction/Enfield Town/Chingford/Romford-Upminster/Hayes/Hertford East/St. Albans Abbey/ Thameslink Core Section branches.

Possibly also Victoria/Charing Cross/Cannon Street but again not 100% sure :D

yes they have done the Bedford-Bletchley line. A VWC HST once did shuttles when there was a major farce south of Bletchley in 2000.

Very funny!

Although it couldn't as its a standard gauge train init! Mind you it does beg the question as to whether the XPT ought to do a run from Sydney to Perth for the sheer hell of it.

Perth to Fremantle is standard gauge isnt it?
Pretty sure it is.
Afterall, it uses Perth, just like the Sydney to Perth trains do.

Oops. just looked it up. Talk about being wrong! I obviously didnt pay much attention the last time i used the line.

I can confirm Dufftown - the Keith & Dufftown Railway have photos of the occasion.

Presumably Oban/Fort Bill & Mallaig/north of Inverness would be virgin territory for HSTs?

Not sure if a HST has been to Dereham (Mid Norfolk Railway), but one could be heading there on May 14th and/or 15th.

Perhaps the most unusual place a HST has been is the Great Central Railway (although only on test and didn't carry passengers there).

Back in 2005 when quite a bit of HST stock was in store at Minehead, a HST was used in passenger service at the West Somerset Railway diesel gala.
