Hopefully it's alright to post this in here. Although, if not, feel free to remove...

I've recently been working on creating some railway mileage search software. It's primary purpose is so it can be incorporated into other projects, and there's still a bit of polishing required, but in the off chance it's of use to anyone, I've popped it up on Railway Data.

The idea was to design it slightly differently to the other (excellent) mileage search engines I've come across previously, in that distances are calculated based on routes likely to be taken by a passenger and not necessarily the shortest route.

At the moment, it only covers Wales, but hopefully it's of use/interest someone. Any feedback would be appreciated, as it's expanded to cover the rest of the UK in the coming weeks.

Presume it must include part of England, if only for South Wales to North Wales through journeys? (Or vice-versa).

You're very correct, it does include the Marches line between South Wales and Chester. I've uploaded a map, which will update as coverage grows, so it's possible to see the areas covered.

The "areas covered" map seems to have a couple of typos ("Nielston"/Neilston and "Runrobin Castle"/Dunrobin Castle). Would also be worth updating it to include the Borders line and show Okehampton as a fully-fledged station (rather than "summer Sundays only"). Cool tool though!

Similarly Rotheham Central/Rotherham Central.
Thank you both - well spotted!
I'll have to admit to not making the map myself. It's the same map as used in the Route Coverage thread. However, I'll have a perusal for a more up to date and copyright free map.
