Afternoon,

Having looked on RS.com I see that Thomson are doing the Class 455 for RW.

Having enjoyed Thomson's 170, I am looking forward to this model.

The obvious route for this is the Portsmouth Direct Line, but my question is, what services would they work???

I hear that they work Waterloo-Haslemere, and are banned from passing Haslemere, any truth in this???

Really, after this model, the only thing that this route could do with is the Class 444, and one would hope that with a similar model already made, that this could be done reasonably easily, with body modifications, obviously...

Finally, I see that on UKTS someone is doing the whole Durham Coast line from Eaglescliffe and Middlesborough to Newcastle and Heaton Depot!!! This includes the T&W Metro, albeit with re-liveried Class 317's, but it looks amazing...

Due to the 455s being suburban trains (no toilets, top speed of 75mph etc), Guildford is the furthest South they run on services from Waterloo via Cobham/Epsom. During the peak hours and on Sundays they operate Waterloo to Guildford via Woking stopping services. They can also be seen at Woking in the up bay platform (platform 3) on the Waterloo to Woking stopping services.

I've seen 455s down in Haslemere before, origined from Portsmouth & Southsea, that was during the snowy period though when some of the 450s were stuck.

It's all right, I have it at the moment, but the THOMSON one will be better. Does anyone know how to add in your own destinations on it because I want to add Alton for use on my London Waterloo-Alton via Surbiton. If you do know it would be a great help...
