  • Hi mate, I see you had an assessment with dbs, I too now have an assessment with them in Doncaster and was wondering if you had any advice? and also some information on how the day is?
I did message him but had no answer yet. Thank you so much for these heads up I'm all booked in for the assessment now for jan 6th.
It was done on paper. There were twelve of us, and the first test that involved working out routes and fares sent nine of them packing. The scaat test got rid of another one, so only two of us got through to the driving test and interview.

Did you manage to contact CrimsonMonkee? I've no idea who he is but he apparently did the tests back in March, so should have more up to date info.
Hi CityCat just another quick question on your scaat test was it on a computer or was it done on paper?
Thank you very much sorry for the late reply I've only just seen the messages I will look up them tests. Hopefully the van test should be easy for me I'm a bus driver so used to driving bigger vechals thanks once again.
    Hi

I need to pick your tram driver brain! I've got an assessment coming up for the trams all I'm waiting for is a date. Do you think you could give me a heads up on what to expect from this day? What tests I'll be likely to take? Any information what be great and helpful.
    I appreciate the reply.

I've spoken with Jane and she has been very helpful keeping me as informed as she can. Last week I completed the security check paperwork and also had my medical so hopefully that's an indication that a start date is fast approaching.
I think if there'd been an implication, from the outset, that the start date could be a year away then I may not have worried about not hearing anything for so long.

    Cheers
    Hi,
Sorry to bother you but I was hoping you might be able to put my mind at ease.
In March I was told I was successful in applying for the Trainee Tram Driver position @ First. The email said my start date would be with me in a couple of weeks time but it is now 6 months later and I have yet to hear. Do you know if there is any training scheduled or is this just standard?
    Thanks for your time.
    Regards
    CM
