    Class 317 withdrawals

    No, from the /8s only 887 - 892 were.

    Class 317 withdrawals

890 was scrapped a while ago, the others are still at Ely Papworth but I highly doubt they'll be returning as they aren't PRM compliant.

In your opinion, what are the ugliest units/locos/liveries on the network? Interior or exterior.

You're thinking of AM62 (all withdrawn now) or AM66/73 (many withdrawn but some still going), and AM96 units for Belgium, and Plan V units (no longer in service) for the Netherlands. Regarding the subject of this thread, I would have to agree that WMR's orange and purple looks absolutely...

    Class 317 withdrawals

I've heard rumours of them all being withdrawn from 1st June but I couldn't say for certain. In other news, the 07:29 Ely - Liverpool Street was worked by 317506+504 this morning, good to see them still making it beyond Cambridge North!

    Class 317 withdrawals

My understanding is that 714+723 won't be returning to service, although I'm happy to be proved wrong!

    ex-Island Line train for sale

The photos look like they were taken at Booth's of Rotherham - in some of them you can see Class 321 vehicles in the background.

    Class 317 withdrawals

According to a Facebook post I've seen, the units were 340/883/338.

GatEx 387’s on loan to Great Northern

203 is out today on 1T42 15:42 KGX - KLN. 201 was out on Kings Lynn trains yesterday and Wednesday.

    Class 317 withdrawals

    Stored at Ely.

GatEx 387’s on loan to Great Northern

I don't think I've ever heard that said about 387s!

    Class 317 withdrawals

If you mean Ely Papworth, there's some ex-LO 317/8s around the front, visible from passing trains. And I believe 317345, 509 and 722 are still in there somewhere?
  12. 317666

    Class 317 withdrawals

Still extant but it hasn't turned a wheel in service since LO withdrew it around a year ago.

Class 365 withdrawal confirmed [Great Northern]

    Ran as 57312 + 365530.

    Most used livery

You can add Anglia Railways, and I'm also fairly sure a 153 made it into the EMT era still in Regional Railways livery!

    Class 317 withdrawals

It's interesting that 663/669 will be among the last to go, seeing as they were withdrawn considerably earlier than the rest of the subclass.

    Favourite Electrostar

357 for me, I prefer the Chapman seats they have to the seats fitted to the other classes (with the exception of 379 first class!).

Best and worst refurbished train since privatisation

EMT 158s. Comfortable seating for longer journeys, very good legroom, and although some lament the change to a predominantly airline layout, it did give the units a much-needed capacity boost. Even though the refurbishment is a good ten or so years old now, the units' interiors still look very...

    Class 317 withdrawals

Definitely withdrawn, all the /6s are sadly. Not sure if it's gone for scrap yet.
  19. 317666

Class 365 withdrawal confirmed [Great Northern]

I believe they can't due to the DOO monitors/mirrors on platforms on the Fen Line being decommissioned. 387s/700s have in-cab monitors so are still able to run through to Lynn.

Class 365 withdrawal confirmed [Great Northern]

Likewise. Born in the mid-90s and grew up in Cambridge, so they were a big part of my childhood!
