    Chester - Liverpool Merseyrail Services

Its also serving two other stations that had no direct link to the city centre and its handy for passengers to reach Liverpool Airport. Once it the service runs further into Wales it will really show its worth.

    Northern Consultation Dec 2020

No I'm referring to before the Manchester trains appeared. Basically shuttles from Helsby to E Port. There were 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon with the first service and last beginning and terminating at Warrington BQ. I suspect something like this will reappear.

Maybe it's something that might happen in the future. For me from Frodsham to get to the city centre it is so handy, and the fare is pretty good.

    Northern Consultation Dec 2020

Do you think it will be as it was 2 x early morning 2 x afternoon ? The last return from Ellesmere Port was about 1600 and operated to Warrington BQ, then empty to Lime Street, I wonder if this would be a passenger service in completion ? All be it, it would be quicker to get the stock back to...

Should the Ellesmere Port line have been electrified?

For both of them..its only driving really, both of which I avoid because of parking and congestion, I the demand is quite different for getting to Liverpool which is a large city and offers much more besides shopping.

Should the Ellesmere Port line have been electrified?

With housing developments in the Ince and Elton area ...and new recent housing in Ellesmere Port. Onward connections at Helsby , there's your revenue. Not mention providing a better service giving less reason to use a car.

    Chester - Liverpool Merseyrail Services

I agree what is the point making passengers life more awkward by making Ellesmere Port passengers change at Hooton, seems like going backwards to me. Ellesmere Port is a pretty large town, you have Cheshire Oaks there which would benefit massively to having a station. Plus extending the...

Woolwich/Sidcup Rounders: What Destination Should They Show?

These rounders did exist at least in peak hours years ago. I used to use Bexleyheath, several trains did have a destination as Slade Green rather than Dartford/Gravesend. The Slade Green services would then become an up service via Woolwich A. Some terminated at Barnehurst and I was never sure...

Woolwich/Sidcup Rounders: What Destination Should They Show?

Before There was a Bexleyheath line service to Victoria, Headcode 78 was for Blackfriars / Holborn Viaduct service. I think on the Sidcup line the headcodes were mainly 50s. The 40 ones were via Sidcup but not via Lewisham. i think ! Hayes line while mentioning headcodes was mainly 20s (...
