    GWR Strike Timetables

Mendip traffic can go via Melksham, which is still open

GWR Peak Time Advance Quotas from Stroud line

I've been looking at flying out from a London airport (any of them) on the 4th and 14th of July, arriving at the airport late morning. A week ago when I first looked there were decently priced advances from Stroud / Gloucester / Cheltenham to Stansted, Gatwick and Luton. When I look now, these...

This is correct for Curve, although I don't think I've used mine to collect a ticket.

Many thanks - the daylight savings problem was a really good point to bring up

new trainsplit, am I doing something wrong?

Could it be to Avanti or Cross-country being 'sold out' in standard class?

    Some Interrail questions

Is this a perfectly normal practice in Austria? I had planned to get the previous (still NightJet I believe) to Amstetten to avoid this potential issue. 1647437580 Normally we would have bought a paper pass from a local seller. However, we won this pass so didn't have much choice!

    London Travelcards at risk

I once tried to do a day bashing in London with an Oyster. 3 maximum fares later, I vowed never to try it again.

Multiple Station Towns/Cities where a new suffix could be added

I believe it's going to be called Stroudwater (or that's proposed by the council) after the business park being constructed next to it. (Confusingly, it is the other side of Stonehouse from Stroud).

How likely will Farringdon become the bottleneck of the London railway network when Elizabeth Line opens?

The problem is, the H&C platforms are physically in the main station, so it makes the diversion much more obvious

Best use of free single Northern ticket

York / Scarborough to Whitby? No Northern trains on Darlington to York so you have to travel via Carlisle.

How likely will Farringdon become the bottleneck of the London railway network when Elizabeth Line opens?

I think Crossrail will be around 5 minutes faster. It will also be up to twice as frequent. I'd get Crossrail as long as they haven't made it miles away from Paddington main line

    GWR IET seat reservations

You're normally able to get a seat reservation from a ticket office. I assume most of them would be happy to help in your case. You could also ask GWR on Twitter. For next time you're booking tickets, TrainSplit lets you choose a seat when you're booking on GWR

"You can be arrested for taking pictures at this station"

I haven't had problems with TfL but I find Network Rail can be very bad at this - I've been stopped at Waterloo, Waterloo East and Edinburgh at least (possibly more but I can't remember)

BBC News - Train firm c2c overcharges on London-Essex route

Yes, you would have thought they could have just restored an earlier version of the website / database pretty easily

BBC News - Train firm c2c overcharges on London-Essex route

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-60293650 An "error" has led to incorrect fares data being fed into the system. Could these be the prices for the March fares increase?

I assume it's still just TfL / railway staff only?
