    Lothian Buses and ECB Discussion

Ive not been on a bus in a long time, however I did wonder what Lothian had done vs other operators. First for example has said they will run at 25% capacity maximum, and I think have on their app the capability to see which bus is full (to 25%) and which has safe spaces. Has Lothian taped off...

I suspect it is a glitch as 778 as far as I know went to Moffat & williamson, and 734 was last seen in "sale" condition parked up at Marine (not sure if it has been sold or still sitting there today). I would assume both would have had their trackers removed though.

So Lothian have now given an update.

30 and 111 go near the station. 45 too I think. Would need to walk to QMU from the station (about 3 minute walk)

Only other way they could do it would be have 30 as a decker to Fort Kinnaird, and then a 30B single from Fort Kinnaird to Musselburgh. Or increase frequency. Given it's every 30 minutes during the pandemic, if it is busy, then perhaps it needs to go to every 20 minutes or so, but that depends...

Yeah, I think this is going to be a 3 weekly thing now, moving buses around the depots so they can all get a shot on the roads for a bit. Not that I am able to use any bus right now but I don't think many will miss 1051-1062 is they go to Marine lol.

There is still B9TLs at Longstone, Central, Livi and Newbridge, so they are not ALL at Marine. I would assume that this is to keep them moving. If you keep any vehicle still for too long, it can cause problems. So moving them around helps with that, just like they did a few weeks ago when they...

    Lothian Buses and ECB Discussion

Plus discussing the build quality of the 18 plate Lothian have, is part of the Lothain Buses and ECB discussion. If it were a discussion about First Aberdeen build quality then okay, but it's not. I was sure there was supposed to be B8Ls going to Longstone, in this coming batch but I guess...

As of this moment in time, 51-100 are free for singles. Lothian also have 511-550, the whole of the 600 range, and 700 range once the rest of the B7TLs depart, and then 1154 and beyond. Within the above, there are the odd section too which COULD be used but those are the bulk. Lothian COULD...

Build quality is better on the 2015-2016 B5s. However, they are the same aside from that.

Yeah, thankfully Lothian never ordered too many of those 2018 B5TLs (20 in total, 8 ECB 12 LB?). They were the straw that broke the camels back though. Not sure I'd enjoy driving one of those in a rainy day though if what you describe is typical of them.

It looks like 1057 is starting to look a little unloved. https://www.flickr.com/photos/71032857@N00/49813577851/in/datetaken/ (not my pic although I suspect it's CN04NRJs?) but around the dest screen it looks like it's starting to peel away. Or is that just the light? For a 2 year old vehicle...

I maybe getting it confused with 133, which I know was burned badly in Gorgie. I know one of them was scrapped. If 181 was still at Seafield then it will be 133, not 181. Sorry for the confusion. I just recall both having bad fires

Does anyone know what the black square to the right hand side of the fleet number on 584 is for? https://www.flickr.com/photos/156386280@N04/49800729723 (not my pic) I'd guess some sort of sensor but I'm not too sure.

Also 181, if I recall it was burnt out in Livi on day 1 I think of service, and was sent for scrap (those buses could also be placed in the "gone" section as they left the company with notes section saying what their fate was)

I have missed that list Omni! Thank you :) Can I ask that the Route Allocations part is put back in, as it was always helpful info. Maybe another suggestion would be to put all sold vehicles at the bottom instead of deleting, with possible a note to where they were last sold to.

Also looks like the rear number is changing too. https://www.flickr.com/photos/134298730@N04/49752528278 (not my pic) but horrible IMO

Welcome! I know you joined years ago but we did not know about you until now :-) I would expect LB to do so yes. It maybe a while, and they may go to a weekend service before going to a full schedule but they should use that timetable, although they may tweak it.

Yes. Unlike some of Lothian though, as far as I know, they are all fixed, and don't have a slide window. Just look at the ex londons we have now.
