TRIVIA: Britain's most underrated visitor destinations

Agreed, I have worked in the Saffron Walden area for years and most of Essex is very charming, especially north of the A12. Ive spent many an afternoon exploring on my motorcycle. A lot of Suffolk and south Cambs is also rather nice.

Hi. I must admit I’m not completely across how BT are shifting that data between sites that’s not really my expert area (I could probably enquire) but within the studio environment SMPTE 2110 is rapidly becoming the default standard. It splits the audio and video into separate IP streams and...

Thank you. It’s actually been quite interesting if a little hectic. Remote production has been on the cards for some time. As an example. Sending an articulated OB truck full of crew and kit to every football match on a Saturday afternoon is very time consuming, expensive and resource hungry...

My vocation is a broadcast engineer, I work for a company that provides equipment to the industry, think vision mixing desks, cameras, infrastructure etc. My main focus is outside broadcast (so sport) but I’ve spent plenty of time doing news as well. The interesting thing about TV, there is a...

How will the rail companies entice passengers back after this is all over?

The British public can be fickle and have short memories… Trains will be rammed in no time with tired commuters*, drunk weekend revellers* and people off to watch the match*…..;) * Other reasons for rail travel are available.

Enforcement of the new rules on social distancing, unnecessary journeys etc.

I was considering moving in with my partner anyway until this blows over, as previous they’d implied if you were in a relationship (not cohabitating) you could not meet but you could live together. This validates my thinking. The last person I saw was her anyway before the lockdown and visa versa.

GA Class 90 Mark 3 Sets Withdrawal

Ha..at the moment that could be their only revenue stream, although probably growing weed might be more profitable. :D

Enforcement of the new rules on social distancing, unnecessary journeys etc.

Seems the government have U turned on potentially banning all exercise. Although it’s a bit buried in this article. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52183137

Enforcement of the new rules on social distancing, unnecessary journeys etc.

Talking of flat batteries. My partner has one in her car but doesn’t have home start cover. She has 2 children and can’t drive at the moment. We don’t live together (I’m about 40 min away). I’m wondering if it’s acceptable for me to go sort out her car? The rules state I can leave the house to...

    Coronavirus.

There is a sea of theories and (facts/not facts) floating around but increasingly on forums and social media the natives are getting restless and are questioning the approach to this virus and their future. Here is a quote (not mine) from another forum which sums up a lot of the chatter I am...

    Coronavirus.

I have an interesting situation. My daughter lives with her mum and with me. Approx 60/40. Reading the rules directly I can’t see her. However her mum is a key worker so I might have to pick my daughter up and look after her. :?:

    Coronavirus.

Correct me if I’m wrong but a legal lockdown requires passing in parliament and that’s not happening until Thursday at the earliest ? Tonight is a last warning ?

    Coronavirus.

I have a motorbike and conditions are perfect, especially with less “cages” on the road. I was thinking of having a ride on my own, I thought I would not be in contact with anyone which is the main concern. But then I considered, what if I have an accident? The ambulance service, police and...

    Coronavirus.

There are some interesting points here but I think as always it requires common sense. Stay at home when you can but if you do go out try to avoid people. I do however think people should go out and get some fresh air and exercise as long as they distance themselves. It’s physically and...
