PRIV and how do we get tickets for travel .....

I don't see that that would be permitted. You should be either exercising from your home or using private transport to get there.

PRIV and how do we get tickets for travel .....

I think there would be a few circumstances where you could legitimately use your PRIV facilities at the moment. The defintion of leisure travel as far as staff travel is concerned is not the same as leisure activites for the purposes of Covid-19 related restrictions. If you had to travel to a...

Occasions where TOCs and FOCS regularly cover others work

Something like that presumably, but by the time you've trained enough drivers on the stock and route the agreement will nearly have expired.

Occasions where TOCs and FOCS regularly cover others work

The new SWR pay deal allows for drivers of other TOCs (GWR/Crossrail) to driver SWR services for a limited period of time, it expires in May 2021 and is explicitly to allow for 701 driver training, so would not likely be 159s. As such, it's unlikely it would ever be used.

Occasions where TOCs and FOCS regularly cover others work

Is 769s likely to finish this off, or will the Southern drivers also be trained?

Further RMT strike action on SWR [latest action suspended]

The changes to the breaks mean more favourable terms for the drivers though. The 20 minute cab breaks are removed and all PNBs must be between the third and sixth hour. The consensus seems to be that the agreement for other TOC drivers driving SWR services will never be implemented, it's a time...

Further RMT strike action on SWR [latest action suspended]

No changes to the spare movement, still up to 2 hours with 36 hours notice. They haven't really had to sell any conditions, other than committing to being in control of the doors on all stock where the technology allows. Some minor changes regarding time allow to prep trains, but that's about it...

    Guildford Engineering Works

The longstanding temporary speed restriction on the up main has gone, so that should have a benefit to punctuality. It was quite tedious crawling out of Guildford towards Woking on a longer formation.

Confirmation of rolling stock changes at Southeastern, including 707s

I don't believe there are any locations where 377s would be DOO self dispatch on Southeastern. I think it's like the 375s where they are either platform staff dispatch, or guard dispatch.

Qualified driver roles Woking and Farnham

Not a driver, but I do work for SWR. There is a pay deal out for referendum now which would lead to a large increase in pay if accepted. It is a 35 hour, 4 day week, with Sunday's inside. Conditions when it comes to PNBs and spare movement are fairly good too. No DOO either, although if the pay...

Several points at the London end of the station are being replaced, lots of the conductor rail being replaced and new track circuits being installed. The Network Rail Wessex Twitter feed has plenty of pictures and some more detail. https://twitter.com/NetworkRailWssx

    Yeovil commercial guard roster

Farnham has a four day rotating pattern. With rest days as follows: Fri/Sat Sun/Mon Tue/Wed Sun/Thu So a four day weekend every four weeks, but two single free days too which limit your opportunity to do much with your time off. Shifts start all across the day really. Trains worked are 444/450...

    Yeovil commercial guard roster

At the moment it seems to be a four week rotating pattern. With rest days as follows: Thu/Fri/Sat Sun Sun/Mon Tue/Wed So that gives a four day weekend every four weeks, but means lots of 6 and 7 day runs of work. Yeovil is set to expand though so that pattern may well change.

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway

The 444s do have limited route clearance on the Inner Suburban network, but I wonder how much of that is actual gauging issues, and how much is that there has simply never been a need for them to be cleared to Chessington for example. They are cleared via Chertsey and Richmond/Hounslow, via...

    SWR Covid-19 timetable

That wouldn't surprise me. Some of the Suburban services seem to have deliberately been run with 4-car 455s this week and are cut from Monday.

    SWR Covid-19 timetable

The Southampton-Portsmouth services terminate at Fratton so that an hourly service can be run with two rather than three units. Usually they have nearly an hour turnaround time at Portsmouth & Southsea. Instead they have a five minute turnaround at Fratton.

    SWR cashless

There are no revenue checks taking place anywhere on SWR on stations or trains, so if you intend to pay cash you won't encounter any issues.
