Network rail staff now get priv travel

I don't get taxed on mine. When this question was raised before it came back as non taxable because it's a simple discount and not a scheme where your employer will pay 75% when you pay 25%.

Network rail staff now get priv travel

It won't go into people's contracts but it will be part of union-company agreements. As a result of one day they are unavailable, NR will need to negotiate with the union to "sell" this perk.

    District Line to Olympia

All westbound trains seemed to be going to Olympia during the disruption yesterday, it seems to be a standard contingency plan.

    Decorations on a Class 321

This stuff is normally put up for special runs with staff onboard, and then removed at the end of the "event", from my own experience with mainline Santa Specials at one of the TOCs I used to work for

Avanti and their current problems. What could be done to improve things?

Avanti and their current problems. What could be done to improve things?

    Women freight drivers

The only one I've been to with only one signaller was Ingatestone. The signaller said that the only time there had been delays due to toilet breaks was when someone was in said toilet and the lock broke, trapping them inside !

Avanti and their current problems. What could be done to improve things?

Actually, having worked for a TOC that moved Sunday inside, yes. All committed Sundays were added up and included in basic pay, so the hourly rate increased nicely during the week. With no increase in contracted hours, it meant staff were working less as the Sundays that they were committed to...

    Damage to Stoke station roof

I've had to close parts of my station in similar situations due to lack of vegetation management. In London. Also had falling lampposts once but that's another story...

    Decorations on a Class 321

You must be fun at parties. 1659644851 What about the hundreds of newspapers left on trains in the morning and evening peaks? More so 5-6 years ago?

    AWC missed connection with bike

You want a T key but you're worried about delay repay fraud?:) I'd claim the delay repay and make a complaint each and every time. Your complaints and explanation will be enough to throw out any fraud investigations. Quite simply because it isn't fraud - you've been delayed due to fault of the TOC

    The worst train today?

The ride quality is the same on all Aventras I've been on. The fact that the 345s are smooth as silk in the central section and ride poorly (as with the 720s) on the eastern section is more down to track condition.
