During crowds at Tube exit passengers told ‘don’t touch out, just walk through’

Your friend can still register their contactless card and then access and query past journeys.

Railcard-discounted Oyster maximum fare - no automatic refund - do I have to wait for ages for a manual processing?

Friday evening should be fine. My understanding is that it's 3 full days plus whatever is left of the day it's queued.

Trying to make a complaint about failure of air conditioning on GWR

This thread has turned into a pile-on against a member who maybe made an unwise suggestion. I don't think there is any benefit in continuing along these lines. Hopefully the OP received some advice from the earlier posts.

It is if the parents haven't given the address.

London Zone 1-6 Travelcard @ Crayford

Directly by Southeastern. At least the ones at Crayford certainly are.

How do TfL readers actually work?

Not going to happen. Contactless will eventually be accepted as far afield as Brighton, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Cambridge and Shoeburyness which is far too big an area to remove railcard acceptance. Merseyrail is a fairly self-contained network with, as far as I can see, no sections...

London Zone 1-6 Travelcard @ Crayford

Oh dear. I wonder who that was. All the staff I usually see there are pretty clued up. It doesn't excuse it, but I'd guess they were temporarily seconded from further into Kent.

How do TfL readers actually work?

That was my understanding too. A TfL account can have unlimited Oyster and CPCs attached to it. I have 3 CPCs attached to mine in case something goes wrong and I need to use another card. If I had visitors who didn't have their own cards then I could lend one to them. In 6 months I'll be...

How do TfL readers actually work?

A blacklist/whitelist system is pretty much off the shelf. Adding a third list not so easy. Possibly, or they're just not proficient at using that function of the phone.

Trying to make a complaint about failure of air conditioning on GWR

Heart of Wales line? Far North line? (though extreme heat less of a problem up there?) Berney Arms? You haven't visited very many UK stations then. No-one is talking about London/South East commuter stations or city metro systems. Your points "may" be applicable on metro systems, but not on...

    The privacy aspect of E-tickets.

Oyster journey data is anonymised after 8 weeks. Records can be transferred to a different system for ongoing investigation. Contactless journey data is kept in tact for a year. This is because it is the justification for actual debits to a bank or credit card account.

Son walked away from ticket inspector- repercussions

Is that a proven fare dodger who has been to court? Usually in relation to much more serious crimes.

Trying to make a complaint about failure of air conditioning on GWR

Are you serious? Very few of these long distance routes have more than one train an hour.

I paid for my journey before hand, yet am being prosecuted !!!!

That's obviously your prerogative, but if that is the case then you must not use contactless PAYG in London and the South East. The rules say that you must be prepared to tap on an inspector's machine during a journey.

Why I prefer to use a ticket office and obtain a physical ticket

Except he isn't the OP of the thread, so perhaps leave this tangent alone now.

Why I prefer to use a ticket office and obtain a physical ticket

I put money on it being in Copenhagen airport station. The railway to Malmo (and then Lund) goes under the road bridge.

Why I prefer to use a ticket office and obtain a physical ticket

Quick geography lesson: Copenhagen is the Capital of Denmark. Lund is just across the water from Copenhagen and is in Sweden. This is probably why they have to say that only Danish notes are accepted.

Railcard-discounted Oyster maximum fare - no automatic refund - do I have to wait for ages for a manual processing?

First thing to note is that not all issues get resolved automatically. Second thing is that I believe railcard discounted Oyster cards are not eligible to be corrected by the holder online for some reason. 1. I would not use the normal contact us form for this. You are far better ringing the...

    Paddington Travelcard Confusion

Changing from Underground to National Rail and vice versa is going to be allowed no matter how short the time because they are totally different stations. Your issue was changing between gates at the same station, though it does seem as though there is a programming issue involved, and that may...
