    Learner drivers

They are, until June. Edit: Didn't read properly. Tests suspended till June, but lessons still take place. I'm guessing subject to instructor's discretion.

    Northern Class 195: Construction/Introduction Updates

Okay, so earlier today, I saw one of these units (195007?) come in at Barnsley Interchange. One thing I've noticed is how fast they fly into the platform, before braking to a complete stop. I've never seen anything like this in the UK outside the London Underground, but Continental Europe...

    Northern Class 195: Construction/Introduction Updates

Just witnessed a 3 car variant depart Barnsley on the Hallam Line, instead of the usual 2 car. This should provide a much needed capacity boost, and I hope this occurs more often.

Death of Television Presenter Caroline Flack in the news

To be fair, it has just recently happened, and she seemed to have a large following due to her presenting of popular shows with high viewership, so I don't see why it should not make headlines, at least for the time being. It doesn't take away from the tragedy that could occur as a result of Dennis.

    LNER Azuma (Class 800/801)

Now sitting on an Azuma. Pretty much the same as the 802 I was on last week, although with seemingly better acceleration, and improved ride quality.

TPE Nova 1 Class 802/2 Progress

Weight Watchers! Cheers. I don't know how I forgot that, tbh.

TPE Nova 1 Class 802/2 Progress

So yesterday, I travelled on my first 802 (802214) from Huddersfield to Liverpool Lime Street, so my first Hitatch, erm... what's the name of the family? My first impression was that the carriage I was in (and by extension, other carriages) was really long. I know they are 26m, but I didn't...

Poor Northern excuse regarding platform length constraints delaying introduction of longer trains

They can; just today, I was on a double 195/0 on the service from Sheffield (truncated). Although perhaps it used a platform other than p17 at Leeds.

    Northern Class 331: Construction/Introduction Updates

So what you're implying is that after a mass amount of time and money has been spent on increasing platform capacity to accommodate 2x331/0s at Leeds for increased passenger capacity, said units may possibly never come to the east side to help out with, as I've heard on this forum, regular...

    Who on here dislikes football?

I used to go to the games a lot; I even had a season ticket, but school work and other things caught up with me. I think for now, I will only purchase tickets for singular matches. A problem I have is that I'll probably have no-one to come to games with me, as none of my friends/family support...

    Who on here dislikes football?

I don't know how off topic this is, but I'm just asking for advice on how I could get back to being engaged in football, like I was about three years ago. My interest had dropped recently due to other commitments (GCSEs, etc.), but everything has calmed down a bit, so I would like to renew my...

Personal favorite train from the 2010s....

Class 700s for how they've helped increase capacity on the overcrowded Thameslink routes, not to mention the decent ride quality, superb acceleration/deceleration, information screens, and the improved sense of space and security. This is followed by the Class 345s (a nice surprise).

Wakefield kirkgate: is there going to be a new shelter?

I guess they have to repeat that song in the dank subway though, in order to deter the dodgy sorts who lurk not too far from the station compound.

Wakefield kirkgate: is there going to be a new shelter?

I've only heard Jerusalem being played in the subway. Is the Yorkshire anthem a recent addition?
