    Motorway services

    I called in a Killington Lake services on the M6 the other day. There was one way system in place with the toilets open as usual. Macdonalds was open for takeaways only. It was probably the quietest services I have ever been in.

    I'm assuming that it is the same driver this evening and tomorrow morning. If so then there will not be enough break between arriving late tonight and the early start tomorrow morning.

    The last run has been cancelled the last 2 days due to the poor weather and passengers transferred onto the earlier service

    Back on its old stamping ground (very nearly), preserved BR Southern Region 4VEP 3417 stands in Clapham Yard shed on 14 February 2012. "Very nearly", because it is actually on the non-electrified road!
