    Russian rail atlas

I'm sure Ukraine will have an up to date map of Russian railways. I went on a school trip ln 1972, Train from St. Pancras to Tilbury. Baltika, Russian cruise ship to Copenhagen and Helsinki, then to Leningrad (as was). Getting off the Baltika a young lad came up and asked if we had any Levi...

Traction Hauling 'The Waverly' Charter- (7/7)

Was a great day. Tangmere was flawless. My last time Settle - Carlisle was 1967 and it seemed strange to have a Southern loco pounding the fells, but then again, nowadays, any steam will do!!!

Traction Hauling 'The Waverly' Charter- (7/7)

Booked on it as an expensive treat. Tangmere (at front) Leeds to Carlisle and Carlisle back to Leeds, Diesel (no class or number) York to Leeds and Leeds back to York for operational reasons with diesel at the front and steam at the back!

Met Line fasts stopping at Wembley Park

I wonder if the Met Fasts were faster than the Nottingham Semi Fasts? Unlikely, but it would be great if there was video of a clapped out Britannia or Black 5 overtaking gleaming new A stock on the parallel lines before Harrow.
