When I worked for easyjet at Luton airport, including stints on the ticket desk in the terminal.
We had lots of people pay for tickets by cash, I vividly remember a builder who paid for 4 return flights to malaga a month all in cash many a time. I'd say it was 550/50 cash and card.
Depends on the level of work taking place, plain line renewals generally you keep one open and work on the other.
If it's a major junction renewal then it's hard to keep lines open.
Was in work early doors today, the overnight test train went up to Corby arriving 40+ early, but never left again with the rest of today's test runs cancelled. Guess an issue not resolvable.
This may also have a great bearing on her job, especially with the airport security passes she requires. If she is seasonal crew or permanent when time comes to renew, this may well flag up ( if found guilty).
Not sure on the process or what you need to do to let the airline know.
Always seems to be one of those depots looking for qualified drivers all the time.

As far as I'm aware everything still worked ok, just trains were unable to set up.

Shows both sidings full of orange class 730s.
350s in platform 4&5.
Looks like a pair of 350s appeared in P3 some time after.
Southern driver's towards the end only drove the first Redhill departure, and the last arrival.
This is now done by a GWR night driver.

Iirc the EMR Barton on Humber services are crewed by Lincoln crews. Not even based on the line but further away.
My 9T was not to stop at Gatwick but to call at Horley additionally. Gatwick was dead not a single person including staff to be seen on the platforms.
