Hemel Hempstead to Welsh Highland Railway

I have often left the Ffestiniog at Minffordd rather than Porthmadog ,to save a long wait at Porthmadog for the train back to Shrewsbury

Hemel Hempstead to Welsh Highland Railway

I must admit, I have used the Round robin ticket to Bangor without any issues (I then get the bus to Caernarfon). Validity seems a moot point, as the map shows the ticket valid from Llandudno Jn to Bangor

Same bridge struck three times in under a week

I firmly suspect the issue for drivers is that the road and tram lines rise just past the traffic lights & no entry signes . Ones eyes are drawn to the rise & dont focus on whats below the sight line. A similar situation, a road bridge over a rail line just behond a traffic light controlled...

Delay repay - 21 minutes, split ticket, multiple operators

Personally I have found GWR one of the better companies when claiming delay repay. In one instance their late running made me miss a connection which subsequently was cancelled. So their lateness made no difference , but as their were first I claimed off them & they paid.

    Split ticketing rules?

As it turned out, there were earlier train(s) for which did stop at the split points so I had no reservation using them . I was actually given a print out of this & I wonder that if 14.2 had not been met, would it be sufficient defence if challenged ,see attached. The journey in the event was...

‘Please mind the gap between the train and the platform’

It would very unusual not to hear the " mind the gap" or "mind the large step" on any journey in my neck of the woods , ie Hereford & its radiating lines plus Cambrian & Heart of Wales.
